I'm downloading the first eppy off of iTunes right now. I'll see if it's as bad as people say.

Personally, I thought that the 2 hour TV movie was crap. It had totally wooden dialogue and acting, and the plot was stupid-- and KITT seemed to be one massive plot device, in the totally wrong way. He could pretty much do anything necessary to prevent the writers from having to work too hard, and was essentially overpowered. There was no chemestry between Mike and the girl, and by showing her kiss him at the end, they pretty much killed any build-up structure that would be in the series unless they're going to retcon it.

According to others you might have the same feelings about the first episode. I tried watching the beginning but meh. I'll watch it on tv

Anyone else think this will go away as fast as "Bionic Woman"?

The bad acting(a knight rider staple)

Things that try to be "kewl" but just come off stupid. Like that whole fire situation and Kitts ford truck mode

The magic of the original series was that even in campiness it was trying to be serious.

Sure the original series had gags like someone always putting a ticket on KITT and kids and animals rubbing up against KITT.

Also the overuse of CGI for when Michael is in the car. Its too obvious he's not driving for real but its a studio

you can kill zoe...leave Billy alone, his character in BSG got his GF taken by Apollo and he got shot....I do like how they are playing up that KITT is an AI and that he does learn...

Yep it was stupid, but fun stupid. I'd say cut down on the amount of characters. There were a little too many for me. Old show kept it simple.

I like that he's calling himself Michael Knight now, and next week's episode looks like a plot similar to those used in the original's early days.

It's a guilty pleasure show. It seems like it knows it's dumb. We'll see how it goes.

I just watched the first few minutes to get a vibe of how the series is going to be, I don't really care for KITT's transformation abilities into a Viper and a pick up truck and Val Kilmer's voice doesn't even sound like it's coming from the dashboard.

Yeah I know that Kilmer recorded his lines beforehand but still in the old show William Daniels' voice always sounded as he was "there" talking to Michael.

I don't really care for the techno version of the theme and don't have that commitment to watch a weekly show as I used to.

Just finished watching episode 1. It was better than the 2 hour, but that's not really saying a whole lot coming from me. I may check out the second episode, but so far this show seems like it's more flash than substance. The production values are top notch, but the acting is still pretty wooden and the story seems like it's leading up to a whole lot of stupidity.
