I will reserve judgment until I see the TV movie, I guess with Transformers using the new Camaro for Bumblebee there was no choice but to go with a Ford Mustang and Will Arnett's dry deep voice will sound pretty cool as K.I.T.T.

But I'm confused what with a TV movie underway what happened to the feature film remake?

Under a different production banner...Glen said it's still getting made.

nice new promo. Was pretty neat but was to much of a car commercial lol which i know u guys dont like but pretty much that is what the film/show will be to a degree since they didnt modify the car much from the factory model.

in the 80's having a super advanced talking car was something new and incredible.

today after seeing so much fantasy movies it will not be new.

so i hope they have something interesting for us.

if they could use a CGI viper in the 90's then today it shouldnt be NO problem.

strange. the version on the site above and the version posted on comingsoon.net have different actors doing the voice over and neither sound like Will Arnett. is K.I.T.T. being recast?

In my opinion that would be 100 times better...much more like an update of the original...yet not.

it's a modified 2007 Corvette.

At least its a GM car like Pontiac...making it much closer to the original KITT

Actually GM has always had a chip against Knight Rider...even if Ford was not the car picked GM would not want another of it's autos used for KR.

Yeah, fans in the early '80s kept calling up Pontiac, wanting to know where they could find or order a fully-done KITT duplicate. It wasn't long after, that Pontiac insisted KITT no longer be referred to as a "Trans-Am" on the series. From that point on, he was simply referred to as a "black T-top".

yes, but of course that is the character's name - Mike Tracer. had Michael Knight gone by "Mike" then I'm sure that's what the original K.I.T.T. would have called him.

I just hope they keep Stu Phillips' original theme music for the opening titles; no remixes, no alterations. That theme has become almost as important to the series as KITT himself.
