Krypton Krypton - General Discussion Thread

Okay, so I've got questions. Adam's tunnel - who was he speaking too, and who was that woman looking at him in that end scene? Any suspicions? I'm wondering Hawkwoman? She's been stated to appear but has yet to actually do so.

Sardoth and Allana from the planet Rann, where he got his zeta beam.

I think it is clear that he was transported to a post Brainiac Kandor.

Never heard of them.

Ah, so the timeline has been altered, and it'll be his quest to restore it? Or are we thinking he's trapped within Brainiac's storage?

Ouch. Using Ona as a bomb? That's freeze breath levels of cold for Brainiac.

Wonder what that woman was staring at in the end wherever Adam showed up. Krypton's destruction, maybe?

I think that is just how she was frozen when Brainiac took Kandor.

I do love at how quickly Jayna had her grandson's number.

Looked like she was wearing contemporary Earth clothes. So... yet another time traveler?

Did Strange arrive on Earth during the last scene? It seemed like it.

Never heard of them.

Adam Strange is pretty much DC's archetype swashbuckling space hero in the mold of John Carter of Mars, Flash Gordon, Buck Rodgers, John Crichton from Farscape, Star Lord and so on.

Rann is the alien planet Adam Strange was teleported to via Zeta-Beam when he was on a archaeological dig in Peru. Alanna is Strange love interest and Sardath is her scientist father who invented the Zeta-Beam technology.

This version of Adam Strange seems to be a younger out of his depth slacker compared to the veteran archaeologist, explorer with a tactical intellect on par with Batman and Lex Luthor.

Appreciate the info. :)

Man this show is ****ing incredible, easily the best comic book show on television or any streaming service.

Great hearing General Zod talk about the yellow sun. I'm hoping to see some super powered Kryptonians at some point. Maybe some kind of visit to Earth, or just a quick trip to the solar system.

with all the renewals and cancellations going on, have they said anything about if Krypton will get a 2nd season?

Well the Expanse was canceled and it had similar ratings (and was far more acclaimed)...but I think a lot of that had to do with its unique financing/production situation, so Krypton's probably safe for now.

Well, that certainly is a retcon to Zod.

Ahh, the ol' "it means hope" line.

Last night's episode was really good!! The interactions between Lyta, Jayna and Dru-Zod as well as the 10 minutes were my favourite part!

Brainiac looks so cool! :hmr::ilv::drl:

Krypton has been much better than I had originally anticipated. It is actually a pretty solid example of what shows like The Flash and Gotham should be like, or could have been like.

What I like about it is that the season is short, tight, and serialized. Every episode pushes the main story and various subplots forward. Basically, there is hardly any filler, nor are they any "freak of the weak" side quests. But still, the show manages to work in enough of the comic book-y elements we all want to see. There is humor, but it isn't over-the-top or cheeky and doesn't conflict with the tone of the series.

The only real "filler" has been some of the seemingly pointless Adam Strange stuff that was clearly re-worked into the show to give the show more of a Superman connection and less of a Snyder-verse connection. I would have really liked to see the original vision for the show.

I can't get over how good Blake Ritson is as the Voice of Rao/Brainiac! Possibly one of my favourite Comic Book villains on TV!!

Also, hope we see Doomsday cause some destruction next week!

I was on the edge of my seat for the last ten minutes. That was incredible and that ending. I got serious goosebumps.
