Jessica Jones Krysten Ritter is Jessica Jones!

Luke Cage sounds better on its own than Jessica Jones does, they won't make it a huge mouthful

RDJ, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans were all fairly controversial. Michael Douglas has been as well (although that's more because of what it means for Hank Pym as a character).

I think people forget how controversial RDJ's casting was. One time, I was defending Marvel's casting from being called safe, and someone said "How is hiring one of the biggest actors in Hollywood not safe?" forgetting that Marvel pretty much put him there.

My issue with Luke Cage is that every Tuesday on Agents of SHIELD I see a guy who would be perfect for the character...and every name that gets rumored to actually play him seems like a worse choice than the guy they overlooked.

Not sure why this is in the Krysten Ritter thread but I agree with you 100% :woot:
It's damn near hear breaking tbh. Henry Simmons is freaking wasted on that show.

As for Ritter, I'm not that familiar with Jesicca Jones, but I know Ritter is a solid actress. However I've just found her very unlikable in the roles I've seen her in.
Again, I'm not so precious with the the Jones character so I'll keep an open.

I did not know that Keyser lol.
I googled the panel. Christ that's weird. The way they drew her facial expressions. Even the way they said it without saying it

Krysten talks about getting the role. It's not much, but cool to see what her reaction was to getting it. Starts at about the 3:50 mark:

I just watched the first episode of the second season of "The Blacklist." Krysten Ritter was awesome. If you haven't seen her work on "Breaking Bad," I strongly suggest you check it out.

I had to Google it again. It's accurate.

[BLACKOUT]Butt stuff![/BLACKOUT] :ninja:

That's one thing I just cannot stop staring at. Deep in the jeans she's wearing, I'm hooked and I can't stop staring... :D

good acting on Ritter's part she held the series up as the lead. I don't know how'd she'd do along side Downey, Evans or Even Hemsworth , but I'd be curious to see how it would play out.

Total ownage by Ritter in this role. I will admit I wasn't a fan of hers when she was cast, but she's completely won me over. Well played.

I actually get startled now when I see her in interviews and hear how she actually talks. The tone and sound of her voice is pretty different as Jessica Jones (more hardened). Was even more impressed with her performance.

She was just so perfect. Her sense of humour, her strength and also her ability to show fear through strength was superb. What a star!

I wonder if she'll pop up in the film's soon? I hope so

The entire cast of the show was excellent, but it was the star herself, Krysten Ritter, who stole the show most for me. As Jessica, she did an awesome job displaying a huge variety of emotions. She was sardonic but extremely likable, and her sharp sense of humor was such a breath of fresh air. Krysten did a great job of balancing Jessica's strength and vulnerability, and also displaying the good heart that Jessica has underneath her rough exterior. She was a protagonist that you really rooted for, and whose story you enjoyed all the way. Plus, in the dark underbelly of the MCU, with so much scary stuff lurking around, Jessica Jones is exactly the type of person you want as your guide. ;)
