I hope they will recreate Hollywood so you can drive over there and solve cases as a L.A. detective.

I was hoping the suits would be a little more stylistically different and not just pallet swapped. Hopefully the actual in-game suits have more variety... Also I hope the variety is better than in Red Dead, most of those outfits were really ugly.

As long as none of the suits are too outrageous im all for it. You dont need to be walking around looking like a clown.

So is this game going to be a full-scale open world sandbox? It seems more mission orientated at least on a conceptual level than Red Dead/GTA.

"Well, this isn’t really a sandbox game," Rockstar's Jeronimo Barrera tells The Telegraph. "You’re not going to go out and create your own gameplay. This is story-driven. The world is open for the player to explore and there are activities which may allow you to deviate from the straight and narrow – for example, on the way to a crime-scene you may get a call that a bank heist is in progress and you may want to head over there and stop it. You can explore the city and find LA landmarks and such.

"The city is a backdrop to the story and the crimes in the plot and the overall narrative arch, rather than a playground"

Big open city but more story focused than GTA.

Hmm, I just heard about this game and saw the trailer and was wondering if the same thing. If its anything like GTA/RDR, then I'm totally in. It'd be a great game to start off my summer vacation while I wait for inFAMOUS 2.

Where is everyone preordering from.
The extra missions sound cool, but the costume with the power ups sound good too and I cant really decide

I was thinking of going with Amazon more since they deliver the same day to my house for free (since I won't have time to pick it up myself), and they give me a $10 coupon, which I'll use for inFamous 2. But looking at the Gamestop bonuses is making me think twice because it looks like it comes with more in game bonuses.

I guess I'll go with Gamestop since you get a full extra case and an extra suit.

I wish I had a PS3 to buy this for. If this has controls are like GTA or RDR Im better on the Playstation controller. but its still going to be cool

I'm kinda hesitant to go with Gamestop though because I don't know if that case, or any of the bonus cases might be released later on as a DLC.

It very well could but will probably be paid DLC

Dude, I recognised a bunch of actors in that video, thats awesome. It's like a freakin' movie. Paul Kinsey and Jimmy Barret from Mad Men were both in it being questioned. Mad Men reunion :D

Edit: And Matt Parkman from Heroes

I thought I was the only one who noticed

GoHastings.com. Due to a computer error, I was able to preorder it for $29.99 and they are going to honor that mistake. I may not get it release day or with any preorder bonus, but at that price, I dont care

Video was awesome and I'm so pumped for the investigation process it looks like its going to be an unique experience at least for the first few cases hopefully they won't get stale like how Assassin's Creed did after a few missions and even if they showed a quick glimpse that melee system does look quite clunky.

Yeah, it really did look pretty fun.

Should've shared the wealth on that one, son, should have shared the wealth.

Why would you compare it to Assassins creed instead of any actual Rockstar games?

I assume he meant that in regards to the original AC's system of 'investigating' that essentially lead to doing the exact same damn thing over and over (and not just in variations, the exact...same....thing).

When did you ever 'investigate' in assassins creed? I really don't see any real comparison apart from open world structure.

Did you play the original AC? You had to do things like listen to conversations, interrupt messages (stuff like that), and you could find out the locations of targets, their weaknesses, etc, basically investigating about the target (they didn't call it that, but it's what you were doing). I think after the first time you could skip most of that, though.

Damn, this game keeps looking better & better each time they show it off!
