Well you're a cop this time, not some two bit hoodlums, so i'm sure the language will be toned down lol

I'm curious about the writing for this game...in Mafia II it was "Kill that f**kity f**k f**k with that f**king gun!!!" Totally took me out of the game...it was just horrible writing.

That game wasn't done by Rockstar and has absolutely nothing to do with L.A Noire, so why even mention it?

Speaking of Mafia II, I hope the recent footage of LA is an early build because Mafia II had more polish than this. Having said that, I still can't wait for this game (depending on the reviews).

As for the GTA debate...

I'm just tired of those games, sure they were cool when I was a teenager but anymore I don't want to be an absolute scumbag in games. I just can't get behind characters who should get the Chair, IMHO.

Plus, as "realistic" as GTA4 tried to be, it just came off silly. I don't want to go on "friend dates" or answer my bloody phone in the middle of a gun fight.

Stupid.

Then don't do it, 's quite simple really.

I tend to agree. Its why im looking forward to this game so much. There is no moral line, youre a cop, a good cop looking to move up through the ranks and fight corruption along with murder and what have you.

I'd be more surprised if the moral lines don't get muddled up a good bit.

It doesn't change the annoyance, or the stupidity of it. I just won't spend money on an old, tired GTA game again.

Even simpler.

Take those complaints away from 4 and you still have a game that took way to many steps back from Vice City and San Andreas.

Oh im sure they will, but i have a feeling Cole Phelps wont be skimming from the top or turing the other way letting mobsters go free. He's a good guy, he's not a morally ambiguous character trying to do good.

Eh i dont know, youre telling me youve never been in a situation where your phone going off didnt cause an annoyance. Granted its not during a gunfight but i can think of many examples where that happened. I didnt see the problem in GTA. Same with the dates.

As for taking steps back from SA, thats a tough sell. SA was a pretty boring, bland game. Sure you could do a bunch of dumb things but the world was so lifeless.

I'm pretty sure that the developers have made it a point to state that Cole is pretty much an unbreakable force of goodness.

Yea i cant remember what interview i was reading but they were talking about how Cole Phelps wont be like any of their past protagonist. You wont question which side he's on.

That is some great box art. I'm excited for Cole and I hope that he is a unbreakable cop you don't see that in video games very often and I think it could be very interesting.

“The Sharpshooter” Detective Suit enhances your aim with rifles and pistols. Always a worst case scenario for any detective working a case, there are of course those occasions for Cole Phelps when pursuing a suspect escalates to gunfire. ‘The Naked City’ Vice Case

The Badge Pursuit Challenge
Hidden around L.A. Noire’s beautiful recreation of 1947 Los Angeles are 20 police badges to find and collect. If you can find all 20 of these badges, the dapper Button Man suit will be unlocked which provides extra ammo for all weapons. Each badge also provides 5 additional XP which will help further unlock Intuition Points – special credits that can be used to give Phelps a key investigative insight when you need it most.

“A Slip of the Tongue” Traffic Case is a bonus case from the Traffic Desk in which a seemingly run of the mill car theft ends up sparking an explosive investigation into the largest auto fraud racket the city has ever seen. With the stolen cars piling up and questionable characters at every turn, can you help Cole Phelps crack the biggest case so far in his career?

This might be the first time I get it from Best Buy...

Seems like the clothing will be set up similarly to Redemption. Sounds good.

Gonna go with Gamestop on account that i work there and can get the game for 10 bux cheaper. Hopefully they all end up in the game eventually.

Gamestop's is a good deal. Not only do you get a case which sounds fantastic but you also get the opportunity to get a new suit.

Those descriptions also confirm some form of XP system in the game.
