I would say "this game is looking great." But that's the equivalent of saying "Rockstar is publishing."

They're almost becoming their own cliche :p

I'm looking forward to how Rockstar will handle the investigation parts. I didn't know this wasn't a sandbox title, that's crazy.

When I think of searching for clues, I think of all those awful CSI games that have you walk around the room and highlight objects until there is nothing left.

yeah I was referring to how in AC every single mission you had to do the 3 types of investigating before you preformed your assassination. It was awesome, unique and amazing for the first few missions but then after that it got repetitive and annoying.

Awesome video. It's really great seeing more Mad Men duders involved.

Arkham Asylum was able to do it well, though that was much more linear.

Another great video.

I just hope the game doesnt hold your hand too much through the clue searching and interrogations. I want to succeed or fail by my own actions.

Yeah, that's something I've been wondering myself by watching the videos. Like how hard will those interrogations scenes be? I feel like there might be some signs to look for to tell if a person is telling the truth or not, but at the same time I feel like it may be hard to just go on your own judgment unless you really pay close attention, which would be probably be the whole point of having that in the game.

Yea i hope a "twitch" for one individual wont always mean the same thing for every individual. The concept they are going for is really amazing, but will the pitfalls of being a 'video game' end up hurting it could lead to some concern.

It sounds to me like the key will also be knowing your **** as well. Even if you have a hard time reading the actual features the way their stories match up to the evidence and such you've gathered over your investigation should guide you a lot. I would think, anyway.

I have a feeling all my Dexter watching will help my detective skills in this game, haha.

That's actually been a concern of mine after watching the gameplay videos. I've seen on more than a few occasions of obvious tells that a person is flubbing. The nervous look to the side being the most obvious.

I really hope they go for more subtlety than that. The new tech being employed should have extinguished those over-exaggerated expressions.

Yea, altho to be fair, there are some common traits people have when they are being deceitful. Most of the time, unless they are trained, they dont realize theyre doing it.

The MotionScan stuff is the real seller for me. It's insanely amazing.

and John Noble from Fringe? **** yeah!!!

Haha when i first watched that trailer i was thinking 'hey its that d-bag russian from season 6 of 24'. I have seen his work on fringe a few times tho, dude is good.

To anyone who's been maybe following this game closer than I have, any idea on the replay value?

As in, if you've gone through the game once and solved all the crimes, are there any variables to draw you back? Like, say, randomized culprits?

oh probably, they'll have something, plus just think of the DLC!

Jesus, this looks amazing. I didn't know they'd started releasing gameplay videos yet. Time to hit up Youtube.

Hard to tell right now, but it is Rockstar. They aren't known for short games.

Yeah, they said to expect about 20 + hours from this one, so that's a good chunk right there.

The real test of the tech is whether it can be employed on character models that aren't direct renditions of the actors themselves. The beauty of voice acting is the people behind the roles don't need to be physical representations of their characters. The only limits are how well they can emote through their voice.

MotionScan is a nice evolution, but it won't be as productive if they are taking steps back in several ways.
