Wow, you were easy to persuade. All it took was some F bombs and some virtual nipples

lol

Anyway the game is pretty rad even though it feels like it's holding your hand through a lot, and aside from that 1 time I almost accidentally ran over pedestrians coz they popped up out of nowhere I haven't had any framerate issues and whatnot on the 360.

I was wondering why they skipped over Phelps at the burglary desk and now I think I know why:

Woah, six discs? That would have been weird.

Also, what's up with this little slides you get? Is this part of the DLC or just kind of like a little extra like the RDR map

Well... the OCD in this game has kicked in. If I have 4 questions to get right and only manage to get two... I restart the whole dang thing...

Haha, I was doing the same thing, but either I kept picking the wrong choice, or using the wrong evidence, because I only got 1 out of 3 questions right.

As much as I wanted to the first time I missed a question I don't, I'd rather play through making w/e mistakes I make and working around it as if it was genuine. I want it to be as realistic as if I was actually there. Can't take back mistakes in the real world. I'll replay them after I've finished it all to get them all right down the road.

This is...something:

Question: My PS3 turns itself off when I am playing L.A. Noire. What can I do?

Answer: We have received some reports of PS3s overheating while playing L.A. Noire or beeping three times before shutting down/turning themselves off, mostly on older 60GB and 80GB fat models.

Primary reports seem to be that updating to firmware 3.61 will cause PlayStations to overheat. There have been various reports of this on a few different games now, all reporting their PS3s turning off or "Red Lighting" after having installed 3.61. This can range from games randomly freezing to PS3s turning off anywhere between 30 mins use to 2 hours. We have confirmed locally that multiple games (Rockstar and non-Rockstar) overheat or freeze only when 3.61 is installed.

At this time we are recommending contacting Sony directly to report the overheating issue. However, this is not the end of our support; we are continuing to test L.A. Noire on all firmware versions and hardware models to isolate the issues and see what can be done. As always, we will update this article as soon as we have updates.

Six Discs?

So...they probably all would have fit on the PS3 disc, then, right?

I would think that they should be able to fit on a bluray disc pretty easily.

Bad news though about the overheating issue...but it sounds more like a issue with the hardware rather than the game. Maybe the game just pushes it more than any game has in the past. Who knows.

Ive just installed the 3.61 firmware and have a 80GB PS3...life is just great!!!!

I think it would fit on one disc. If they had to, they could have always had gone with the 50gb disc like Kojima did for MGS4.

As far as the overheating/FW thing, I think support jumped the gun on that. Their only source was the PS message board, and that is hardly reliable proof.

As far as the game goes, I got started today and worked my way to Detective. It has met all of my expectations already, so I can only imagine how good it will be as I progress.

Arzt from Lost (as in "Dude, you got Arzt on you" ) is in the game!

I have to say that the facial work is amazing. I see actors and instantly recognize them from tv and movies. And they are actually expressive rather than a picture slapped on a frame. I really hope more devs. take a page from their book and use this technique.

Just went and did my own thing between cases... Man, solving those street crimes is pretty fun.

Also.. I wish we still dressed like they did in the 40's. :p

I'd love to wear three piece suits but it gets hot in Florida and I'd sweet like crazy in those things. I'd love to rock a fedora though!

I think that will be the thing that other devs. will try and replicate.

I really wish fedoras were still in style...I'd be rocking those all the time.

Which, is a little touch I like in this game. I get my clock knocked, and my fedora falls off...I can go back and pick it up. Kinda like Indy.

Yeah, fedora's need to come back in style. I mean... why did they ever go OUT of style? If kids today can wear ski hats in the middle of summer... Why can't fedora's make a styling comeback?

I own two fedora's (they were gifts), but have not had the courage to wear them outside. :csad:

No Fedoras.... Every dude that puts one on instantly thinks he's a suave ganster but he looks like a *****e. You guys can all dress 1940s but I think i'll go 1880's, with the suit and muttonchops look :P

I wear fedoras, I guess I'm a suave gangster/*****e. :woot:

I've always wanted to get a fedora, but since I see it in the store, I put it back down because I don't think I would look good with one. But if there's one guy who is trying to bring it back in style, it's this guy.
