Alicia Witt as Lana Lang.
I want to see Lana come in the series as a love interest.

Yes.. Alicia Witt as Lana Lang.
I hope to see Lana in the sequels.

She's very pretty too...she keeps getting these side roles in movies like Last Holiday and Upside of Anger...so I'd like to see her land something big.

I think Laura Prepon would be a good Lana, she's already got the red hair.

The Wedding Crashers girl is a decent choice though its hard to say if she can play Lana, she was so ditzy in that film I was told.

Laura Prepon has the hair but not the right look. Shes more on the tough masculine side where Lana is a smalltown girly girl.

Rachel McAdams seems very wrong in every way for Lana to me.

Alicia Witt is kinda played out.

Remember the actress need not have red hair. I kinda prefer Lana to be a blonde for the films (like the classic Superboy pilot....I liked that Lana).

Kates hair is already kinda brown/reddish (and represents Lois' fiery personality).....Lana should be more submissive and cute-like.

I think several great suggestions have been given, including Witt and Morrison... even Emmanuelle Chriqui. I just want to state it would be a great idea to have Lana Lang as the love interest in the sequel... let Richard have Lois... for now.

Let's switch!
* Kate Bosworth becomes Lana (ONLY if she can do it minus the attitude and eat enough that she doesn't look so skinny)
* Laura Prepon becomes Lois
:yay:

Then again, I think Laura would be great with the tough side of Lois but not so much with the romantic interactions. I'd prefer Rachel McAdams overall for the Lois role.

Please no Lana. There's already enough drama for the sequel with the kid. Adding Lana will make me vomit in my mouth, and I'm just getting over the tragedy of SR.

What if there's Lana but no Lois, Richard or Jason? And it doesn't play as a sequel, just another Superman story.

I am digging season six of Smallville, but I'm not so jazzed about seeing it on the big screen. If there was a good story for Lana I think that would be great, but the sequel is going to follow SR and there's already enough drama.

:o Damn right! Superman needs to be Superman,AND NOT SOME SOAP OPERA! I tryed to love Returns like a good 'lil fan, but it really is too boring and depressing. We need to send out the S.O.S. (Save our Superman)! :csad:

Dude, I'm sorry but thats F***ing insane! Lois is a core part of the mythos; Richard I could do without though!

I think casting Allison Mack as Lana should return superman fandom to it's natural state of mass chaos! ;)

Lana Lang is a core part of SUperman mythos as well. Hey, if it gets rid of the crappy Soap Opera baggage that is SR, then it is worth it. It can't be any worse than SR, right?

I don't want a sequel that feels like a sappy Smallville episode. Give me Superman! Not a bunch of useless characters, and for the record Lana is more a part of Superboy than the Superman series!

Sadly, yes!:O It just took longer to absorb into my concrete skull. Superman really does deserve better than what we got. I am a Singer apoligist NO MORE! Good to talk to you again Huntress, its been a long time!:yay:

Just waiting for someone to suggest Laura Prepon cause she has red hair. LOL

You don't have to cast a known red head ya know.

I refute this because it isn't true. In recent years and with Smallville, Lana has become a feature of the mythos. Still, in actuality the loss of her character would barely cause a blip on the radar of the mythos. She's Clark Kent's high school sweetheart...and that's about it.

lol....yeah...I made my apologies too, and then I just started shouting:woot:

Ahhh....its not a good Superman movie, but at least there was one. I'm now totally defeated because it looks likely that Singer will back and whatcha goin' do? The best I can hope for is some recreated "Wrath of Kahn" that is at least as good as X2:whatever:

She may not be as important as Lois, but still she was used extensively by John Byrne in his post-Crisis revamp and in the pre-Crisis world she was always Lois's chief rival.

The point is, she is an important part of the Superman mythos and could easily, if done right, be the female lead in a Superman movie. SHe would certainly be more welcome than Richard and Jason. THey've never appeared in the comics.

Well, like I said in several other threads, if the film brings back the sense of excitement and adventure as STM had then we will forget about SR. .....I hope!:woot:

She is not an important part of the Superman mythos, and you can't really say that Silver Age gave her more importance than anyone else introduced in that age.

Lana Lang is Lori Lemaris and like Lori if she went away...no one would notice. Now, I'm not saying Lana Lang wasn't introduced in the the fifties, or that she isn't important as a character. I'm only saying her importance to the mythos is a little overhyped in your estimation. She could die tomorrow and the Superman mythos would move on. That's the facts of the matter. So, like I said, she's not that important.

As for Jason and Richard being introduced in the comics...uhhhh....are we talking about all comics...because I actually have a few comics where they are there.
