Personally, that is why I am glad Nolan is being so tight lipped. I also think the internet has taken away a majority of the mystique to these movies. Imagine seeing BEGINS, loving it and not knowing concretely about a sequel. Until magically one day you're at the theatre to see another movie, and to your ultimate suprise, you see a glistening movie poster advertising a sequel to one of you favorite movies.Sometimes I miss the old days. When I was a kid, we didn't even know there was a new Batman movie until we saw the poster hanging in the theatre.![]()
This is what it was like when I was kid, when B89 was my favorite movie, and hit me like a ton of bricks one day I was watching tv and saw a commercial for a new Batman movie. That being Batman Returns.
I absolutely despised the script leak of BEGINS in 2003 - 2004. It ruined alot for me, seeing as how punks were going everywhere giving away the plot twist, etc. A script review I don't mind, but keep the spoilers to a minimum for the sake of others. Like Nolan, I'm not even a huge fan of "Making of" featuretts on dvd's. As I said earlier, it takes away part of the magic, and mysterious qualities to film making. I rather walk into a theater in July 2008 and know next nothing about the film other than who is playing what, and what the main characters look like. Other than that, I'm set. Hell, I'm glad I'm still pretty much ignorant to the plot of Spider-man 3.
