The Dark Knight Latino Review: TDK script review NEXT WEEK??!!

It has to be TDK. For the past year, IJ4 has been in development limbo. There was a script being worked on, but I don't think anyone really got a hold of it.

My problem with IJ4 is this - have people really been asking for that for over a year, now? I thought there wasn't even a script until recently?

The fact that Lucas, Spielberg and Ford have been asked about IJ in EVERY interview since 1989 shows that there will ALWAYS be someone asking about the film, and the fact that these guys all kept hinting at another film fueled the fire. Add to that the nonstop plot rumours posted by millions of sights suggest tit IS possible that people were asking for a script review. It's not likely, but possible.

Personally, I think it might be Star Trek 11 (if not TDK :woot: ), if you look at the history between LR and J Abrams. They'd probably do it to make up for their false reports about the director's chair.

That's a fair point mad-sci. :)

TBH, it probably isn't a good idea to assume it's TDK and get all excited for nothing. I'm sincerly not trying to rain on anyone's parade but lets just wait and see.

get guys. HOW would they get ahold of TDK?!? hasn't everyone stated that they've had to go to nolan's house and sit in the garage while reading it? My only guess would be someone in production compiled the pieces, but don't most productions guard against this? I just find it difficult to believe LR pulled it off

Good news if true though, LR said there is was a TDK script review last year but nothing was heard.

I want to read where:

Harvey romantic with Rachel (even though his married) after that, when he's in court trying to protect Rachel he gets scared than we see him in hospital and films ends.

...they did the same exact thing for BB.

While I share the same sceptismisn, it's not *entirely* unbelivable - Remember they've been holding auditions for smaller roles as well as slowly hiring crew - any one of those people could have snatched a copy of the script.

Or maybe somebody really doesn't care about their job. ;) :oldrazz:

I never got to read it either. I'll definitely copy it lest the WB ninjas have it taken down. :)

BTW, somebody pointed this out on the BOF forums - is it possible they mean Indiana Jones 4?

you da man . . .err wo-man, Miranda . . . when I said 'somebody', I meant you :)

God no. No spoilers. Surprise me, Jon and Chris!

From their BB review, I would expect moderate spoilers detailing character breakdowns, and plot summaries for Act 1 only.

What you should get from that is:-

Which characters are in the film, when they appear, some idea of the plot, brief mention of the action set pieces, and the reviewers thoughts of the script - good/bad, etc

The easiest is that WB gave them a script to read and told them they could review it but not put in the major spoilers. That really isn't that far-fetched since a script review is pretty good internet publicity and they can control what LR reveals.

LR said a long time ago that they were going to review the script. That either means they were completely lying at the time, or they had an arrangement that they would be allowed a script review in the near future, and they just thought it was going to be sooner than now. If the last part was the case, then it was a planned review, as in someone is actually going to just give it to them at a certain time. If it was a leak, then the person most liekly got caught trying ot give it to LR in which case LR wouldn't be getting ****.

Woah, I just found some circumstantial evidence to suggest that next week's review IS TDK, or to be more precise, a review of David Goyer's 30 page scriptment.

Back in August 5th, 2006:-

Now this goes out to all you BAT-FOLKS. You see…one of the first rules of screenwriting is to never be on the nose. Now I did the 1st script review of Batman Begins and I announced the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker. A big thanks to the WB for confirming my scoop and to all you haters out there who doubted me - eat them bananas mother****ers! Now wouldn't it be too soon or be too on the nose to come out and do the script review for THE DARK KNIGHT?! Isn't it like expected?

Well, have patience my friends, all in due time. Me announcing Heath was a commonly used old-fashioned screenwriting technique known as SETUP.

What's the PAYOFF? Stay tuned to Latinoreview my friends. He He He

Look at next week. That monday is the 5th March, EXACTLY six months after this announcement. IF WB and LR had an arrangement NOT to divulge TDK spoilers until a certain point, 6 months sounds like a good round number. Plus, the fact that neither Nolan's were working on the script until AFTER August suggests it's Goyer scriptment that LR have got their hands on.

...

WHOA. /Keanu voice.

Great catch there, mad-sci.

Has it been a year since they released that info on a script review?

6 months on Monday. PLUS, LR have been known to mainly review films either in pre-production or just started filming (as TDK is). In another 6 months, filming will be almost done, and any spoiler LR has will be at risk.

I will not read the script this time, I will NOT read the script this time . . .

Gee, I have a REALLy hard time believing you...:woot:

That’s one of the things I hate about Internet, I'm tempted to read damn the net. :cmad:

Ok guys, I'm really really realllllllllly, at odds here.

Do I read it?

or

Do I wait until June 2008 premiere?

J U N E 2 0 0 8

That is a long time to wait with a script review at hand.

So, who is going to read it? Miranda how about you? Are you going to ruin it for yourself?

just read it. it won't hurt...everyone's doing it. just one time...

I wrote a poem about this script review, if it comes.

I am reading it
I am soooo reading it
I am going to read it so much my eyes will bleed
I am reading it.

Mmm, good question. It really would depend on how spoilerific it is. If it's an entire plot breakdown, then no. I want something to remain a surprise, you know? ;)

If it's like BB's, then I'll definitely read it.
