The Dark Knight Latino Review: TDK script review NEXT WEEK??!!

I hope there is no Joker origin. The whole "falling into a vat of chemicals" doesn't seem like it would work with Nolan... And I think the mystery of the Joker is one of his coolest aspects.

If Nolan plans on touching upon the Joker's origin, then guess what, he better reference the vat of chemicals, because that is his origin. I'm not buying this whole, "this wouldn't work in Nolan's world" business. I don't want Nolan changing origins just because he thinks it wouldn't work in "his world". This is Batman's world, he better learn how to deal! :word:

The Joker has no official origin, and I think that DieSmiling was recommending that Nolan avoid an origin altogether, rather than invent a new one.

Oh yea, I got what DieSmiling was saying, that's why I said if Nolan touched upon his origin. I just don't like this idea now, and I'm starting to see it more and more, of how different characters or stories wouldn't work in "Nolan's world". I find it a little silly.

I'd rather they not give Joker an origin for the simple fact that his "traditional" origin has kind of already been made defunct by Begins.

Unless they pulled some seriously contrived retconning, I don't see how Batman could've been involved in Joker's accident. There's simply no time/place for it to have occured within the timeframe of Batman Begins.

And if Batman wasn't directly involved in Joker's creation, I'd rather see no origin at all. I'd prefer complete mystery over a Batman-less version of his traditional chemical vat origin. It's all or nothing, for me.

OOh, looks like we broke it! :woot:

Is anyone else having problems getting onto the LR homepage?

I keep getting 'page not found'.

Ah well, looks like TDK's not coming anytime soon.

Hadn't thought of that.

That is, unless Joker at the end of BB wasn't "Joker" yet..

...And we don't know how long elapsed between the train crash and Batman and Gordon's meeting on the roof. How long would it take to clear the wreckage, deal with the damage caused by Ra's (to an extent) and be promoted. I'm guessing at least a month or so...

And we don't know when we'll get that script review...

Sorry

The calling card and a taste for theatrics, might also suggest a man dressed up as Red Hood.

And who's to say Batman hasn't already encountered the Joker as 'The Red Hood' only he wasn't in Joker form and Batman thought he was dead after falling into Chemicals and maybe the body wasn't found.

Nolan is going very strongly for realism.

Ra's Al Ghul is immortal in the comics, you know, Lazerus Pit and all. I don't think that made the BB version worse.

Just prepare yourself for the idea that if there is an origin (which I doubt, and don't want) it might not be the whole "vat of chemicals" deal.

There was no evidence that Ra's could not be reincarnated in Begins- Nolan just didn't address the issue, allowing him to give a believable representation of the character without actively debasing him. He's clever like that. :)

For every click they're getting, the money they make in ads grows.

I'm starting to smell a repeat of last August. My bet is on no script review.

[cartman] God***nit, when are they gonna say s#!t [/cartman]
You can guess what im saying right? When is the damn review comming out.

Why doesn't everyone come back next Monday and we'll know for 100% whether this review is for TDK or not.

Everyone *****ing about the lack of script review is starting to annoy me :(

I'm hoping the emi guy on here gets it before him. Will get a better and probably more indepth review etc plus emi won't **** us about like u just know Latino Review is doing just now!

Just like I thought, another egg might be laid by LR.......

Has it been two weeks yet?
