I think you should challenge Marv to an art-off. I've only seen one of your pieces, but I do believe he'd kick your ass - with all due respect, of course.

Seriously, it's like Saint said - they're both pictures of Batman standing. No action. Just standing. And what is credited to you looks an aweful lot like a rip off of Alex Ross's work.
Perhaps Cassaday was ripping off Ross and you just turned out to be the middle man since you were ripping the same piece.

I wish Snipe still had his super mod powers.

He'd save the day.

If mods came to the Bat-forums more often this would probably be closed.

Seriously, there's no point in this anymore. It's turned into insults and a flame war. Wams, if it really happened, sorry, I feel for you. But it didn't make it to print, let's all move on.

come now I seriously doubt any of you would have that much trouble finding a friend to lend credence to an instance they were party to..

Well...I would.....

Bro you got 5,763 post and counting....Go get a girlfriend..
and not a computer one.:bomb:

Daaaaaaamn Motown Marvel 12,334 and counting......
Go outside and experience a life......

You some kind of Bizarro all right.....since your in here to, jack.

He's C-c-c-c-c-craaazzzy!!!

I wish Snipe still had his super mod powers.

He'd save the day.

If there's anything I've learned from reading comics.......they always get their powers back.

Is that you?

Yeah I adressed the problem of sabotaging the thread dedicated to arguing a point you made.

have a good look at me, Notice the complete lack of any reference to any artistic claims, also take note of the completely different writing styles that Wams and I have...

"The Joker" this doesn't concern you so move on...

"Mee" I understand your skepticism in such a case, and not having access to all the original work I cannot offer physical proof or I would, what I am giving you is an account of the activity that took place devoid of any emotional ties to color my responses, If you have honestly never run into a talented person that has taken claims for someone else's work or ideas than I say congratulations, I wish I had your luck with aquaintences...

"Ampersand" go take a look at who you're dealing, with if you have an account feel free to message me concerning the matter there or or reply or PM me here if you wish

"Fledermaus" I actually agree with the content of the message you left but the tone was unnecessarily disrespectful, so I can understand why a PM was sent in response. might I suggest you merely leave Wams alone...

I will state talent does not= integrity we all know talented people who occasionally take "short cuts" when they think it will go unnoticed. The celebrity and sports world is rocked with scandles everyday, those that go on in the world of comics get little press, but I think anyone who denies that they happen is overestimating human nature

I aaint the joker!!!! I types diffrne!!!! see, lme not Joker!!!!!

yeah, that's proof, *****e...and dont tell me what to do :o

Two and a half pages ago someone might have cared.

It is extremely amusing to me that the loudest whiners and flamers are comming late in the game and tryin to throw around weight they don't have.

I mean seriously if your going to try to insult someone at least try to keep up on why your insulting them.

You're totaly right. I should just quit my overnight job, and start being awake during the day again just so I can keep up with every single thing that goes on in a comic book message board. You have shown me the err of my ways. Thank you.

I was more referring to the lack of relavance your comment had when compared to the posts that were delivered in the interim

forgive me for believing you capable of percieving subtext...

No I picked up on that as well, but the main thrust of your post did seem to be talking about how I was "coming in late" and that I should "keep up." So maybe you should decide exactly what you want to try to attack me about before you do it, not after.

"coming in late" referred to the fact that As I stated you were not involved in the original argument in the picture thread, from which this discussion sprang. "Keep up" referred to the fact that I stated people who had nothing to do with the original argument felt it appropriate to post Quite Aggressively on a matter that did not spring from interaction with them, often in a manner not relevant to the stage that the topic reached at the time of their arrival ...

There I believe I've spelled it out, What you proposed to be the main thrust had nothing to do with the post presented. But do not trouble yourself about it I will be sure to avoid subtext and go about stating the matter in an obvious manner in any future post directed at someone eloquent enough to call me *****e because I stated the matter was not directed at them, nor was their pedantic commentary salient or desired...

1. It's pretty obvious that you are trying your hardest to type differently from the way you do as Wams.
2. You weren't involved in the original argument at all, where you?

I find it amusing that you didn't bother to read the interim posts before jumping in, after all it was a key point in the post you just quoted. If you have please enlighten me as to your take on the interaction between myself and Wams, I'd especially be interested in learning the trick of posting from 2 different accounts at the same time...

No I was not however nor am I whining or flaming, I am a witness to the event. I started this thread to address those who lent no credence to the happenstance in question. As stated in the opening post I am here to address contested points in a logical manner and have done so.

T'Jai, fine, give us the date of the Previews magazine that had the original piece, I'll track it down and let's finish this once and for all.

oh, his original pieces were in Previews? I've been getting that magazine for a long time to order stuff in for my box at my comic store, and I save them. So yes, please, let's have the month/year for it, and I'll be happy to find these pics for you as well, if joke doesnt get to it first that is.

In another thread, Wams claimed that the same page from that book, but with his version of Batman was in that magazine. Here's the post:
Wams said:
They printed a page of the book in "Previews" .
When I saw my drawing in the ad I was wondering how it got there.
Then I realized it was a trace of my drawing.

Who do you think you're fooling? In your attempt to make this account sound more educated than the Wams account, you make yourself look like an idiot.

Ampersand, Ampersand, just chill.. Let's give the guy the option to tell us the date of the book so we can get it.

dude you keep talking about how your on the verge of exploding with anger....go ahead, i dont care. i could honestly give two f**ks. and go ahead and say what you want about my work on my website. hell, i'll rip it apart before you do...all that crap is over 3 years old anyways. i mean, honestly man, what do you expect from people when you come around posting this crap. you have NOTHING! give us something and then maybe there'll be a worthwhile discussion....but you have NOTHING! so come back when you actually have something substantial and worthwhile to say and show. bye.

Does anybody in this thread know who Tim Townsend is?
If not, he is the Inker on X-Men books on Joe Madureira and Chris Bachalo
A very know Marvel professional artist.
He ownes the original art in question.
Tim can also back up my statement.
And as far as the Preview is concernd....Why would
I hold on to a 2 year old previews, it's worthless?

:spidey:

You don't have to give us scans, just an issue number or date. Two people already said they collect previews.

The cover date on Batman/Planetary is August 2003. How much earlier are comics advertised in previews?

three months in advance, I do believe

I find it suspcious you picked someone like Townsend, who's known well enough to get the "I know who that is" reaction from some fans, but still obscure enough to not have his own website to be contacted at to confirm this...
