Least Rocking Lyrics Of Rock!

DBella said:
Really? Why did you think that? It's the hair, isn't it? He had such beautiful locks.

it was mostly his demeanor in the live performances i had on tape.
he made jagger look manly.

I've always hated this song:

Poor old Johnny Ray
Sounded sad upon the radio, he moved a million hearts in mono.
Our mothers cried and sang along and who'd blame them.
Now you're grown, so grown, now I must say more than ever.
Go Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye
and we can sing just like our fathers.

Come on Eileen,
I swear (well he means) At this moment you mean everything,
With you in that dress my thoughts I confess verge on dirty
Ah come on Eileen.

These people round here wear beaten down eyes
Sunk in smoke dried faces they're so resigned to what their fate is,
But not us, no not us we are far too young and clever.
Remember Toora Loora Toora Loo-Rye-Aye
Eileen I'll hum this tune forever.

Come on Eileen, I swear, well he means
Ah come on let's take off everything,
That pretty red dress Eileen (Tell him yes)
Ah come on let's, ah come on Eileen, please.

And we all know that real man don't gyrate. :) Oh, I think Axl Rose goes on that list too.

He was prettier thank Kate Hudson!
Wait... that's not good, is it?

Well, you're just going to have to live with your misinterpretation, then. Pandora is out of the box and gyrating her ass off. :meow:

Reading Wilhelms first post... did you notice that Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody fits into his "bad" criteria:

Queen said:
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time.
Goodbye, ev'rybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh, I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.

Yet according to Much Music Listed it's one of the top 10 Rock Anthems.

Ok, i've stayed away from Morrissey and the Smiths cuz that **** would be too easy, but how Emo, where'd you would never expect it?
how about some emo-livejournal-y Lyrics from self professed trash-metal gods.

METALLICA

or maybe I meant

METALLICA

Welcome to where time stands still
No one leaves and no one will
Moon is full, never seems to change
Just labeled mentally deranged
Dream the same thing every night
I see our freedom in my sight
No locked doors, no windows barred
No things to make my brain seem scarred

(this was probably written in one of the members room's while his mom made lunch for him in the kitchen.....she totally didn't get it)

Sleep, my friend, and you will see
That dream is my reality
They keep me locked up in this cage
Can't they see it's why my brain says “rage”

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone

(how much more emo can you get? the birds...they are dying)

Build my fear of what's out there
Cannot breathe the open air
Whisper things into my brain
Assuring me that I'm insane
They think our heads are in their hands
But violent use brings violent plans
Keep him tied, it makes him well
He's getting better, can't you tell?

(what do you want to bet this is really about hazing in high school?)

No more can they keep us in
Listen, damn it, we will win
They see it right, they see it well
But they think this saves us from our hell

Sanitarium, leave me be
Sanitarium, just leave me alone
Sanitarium

Just leave me alone

Fear of living on
Natives getting restless now
Mutiny in the air
Got some death to do
Mirror stares back hard
kill is such a friendly word
seems the only way
for reaching out again

(see?)

What's so emo about a song based on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

I guess it all depends on the lyricist. Some people can make great lyrics out of sexual themes or what have you and some people can't. Some people can also write great socially conscious lyrics and some can't. The same goes with emotional themes. I often like my rock to be cerebral but sometimes "dumb rock" is fun.

I had little respect for Metallica after "a year in a half in the life of Metallica" but then I saw "somekind of monster" and I fail to see how any fans remain.

Hetfield in therapy?

c'mon! he can only work for 4 hours, because he gets stressed? yeah, all that money he's getting for doing what he once loved, totally stressful.

****ing *****.

I've always wanted to see SKOM but even 2 days ago I saw it used and I can't bring myself to watch it.

Don't. It completely *****fies that band.

I dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but that one Aerosmith song (the title escapes me) that goes:

"I don't wanna cloOOose my eyesssss
I don't wanna fall asleeeeep
Cause I'd miss you baby
And I don't wanna miss a thaaang"

I've never been that in to their music, but that one was terrible.

Not the least, the best!

Hope youre happy now, but im not giving in
I hope youre satisfied with your bull**** and your lies
Hope youre happy now, but im not giving up
I hope youre satisfied **** you and **** your lies!

Now Slayer should get some counseling.

I think they should get one of those Norwegian black metal bands where the current lead singer killed the old lead singer to get the job and put them all into therapy and film it. That would be entertaining!

I'll bet under all that fake satanism lies a scared little boy looking for his dad's love.

Dude, they're human beings. Seems to me Metallica fans forget that sometimes. And besides, the band is really good right now. James' singing is better. Rob's breathed new life into the band as well. I'm not talking about St. Anger though. I'm basing this opinion on the Rock Am Ring clips I've seen on YouTube.

This morning's Non-Rocking Rockers are...

The Eagles

Most of Us Are Sad

Most of us are sad
No one lets it show
I've been shadows of myself
How was I to know?
Tell me scarlet sun
what will time allow?
We have brought our children here
Who can save them now?

:csad:

Peaceful Easy Feeling

I like the way your sparkling earrings lay,
against your skin, it's so brown
and I wanna sleep with you
in the desert tonight
with a billion stars all around
'cause I gotta peaceful easy feeling
and I know you won't let me down
'cause I'm already standing on the
ground

In The Long Run

Who is gonna make it?
We'll find out in the long run
(in the long run)
I know we can take it
if our love is a strong one
(is a strong one)
Well, we're scared, but we ain't shakin'
Kinda bent, but we ain't breakin'
in the long run

The Eagle is sad, scared, but grounded.

Dare by Stan Bush

Sometimes when your hopes have all been shattered
And there's nowhere to turn
You wonder how you keep going
Think of all the things that really mattered
And the chances you've earned
The fire in your heart is growing
You can fly, if you try leaving the past behind
Heaven only knows what you might find

Dare - dare to believe you can survive
You hold the future in your hand
Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive
It's time to take a stand
And you can win, if you dare

Everybody's trying to break your spirit
Keeping you down
Seems like it's been forever
But there's another voice if you'll just hear it
Saying it's the last round
Looks like it's now or never
Out of the darkness you stumble into the light
Fighting for the things you know are right

Dare - dare to believe you can survive
The power is there at your command
Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive
It's time to take a stand
And you can win, if you dare

Dare - dare to believe you can survive
You hold the future in your hand
Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive
The power is there at your command

Dare - dare to keep all your love alive
Dare to be all you can be
Dare - 'cause there is a place where dreams survive
And it's calling you on to victory
