Least Rocking Lyrics Of Rock!

well, I think a song that talks about standing in line just to be the next to be with a girl has less than zero rock power.

Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight is one of my favorite songs.

My favorite song by them is "B**** School", which was from a sort of sell-out comeback, which is weird 'cause I actually seriously like it.

B**** School

You been bad
Don't do what I say.
You don't listen.
And you never obey.
Try to teach you.
But you just won't be good.
You won't behave the way
A big girl should.
It's time to give the whip a crack.
I'm gonna have to send you back to
***** School.
***** School.
You're a beauty.
You're the best of your breed.
You're a handful.
And I know what you need.
You need training.
Gonna bring you to heel.
I'm gonna break you with my will of steel.
Discipline's my middle name.
And no one comes back the same from
***** School.
***** School.
No more sniffling strangers, or running free at night.
You think my bark's bad, honey - wait till you feel my bite.
You got problems.
You whine and you beg.
When I'm busy,
You wanna dance with my leg.
I'm gonna chain you.
Make you sleep out of doors.
You're so fetching when you're down on all fours.
And when you hear your master,
You will come a little faster, thanks to
***** School.

Pros
Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution, AC/DC
Rock and Roll pt.s 1 and 2, Gary Glitter
You Belong in Rock and Roll, David Bowie and Tin Machine
Rock and Roll, Led Zeppelin

Cons
The Heart of Rock and Roll, Huey Lewis
Rock On, David Essex
Rock and Roll Suicide, David Bowie

mmmm, I don't know.

good point, though the "tin machine" era for me, was perhaps Bowie's worst.
so, then, I'm sorry I have to break out the big guns people, but you have left me no choice.
here it is, in it's entirety, the single worst song ever recorder in the history of music (and the fact that Milli Vanilli recorde stuff, it's no small claim) this single song by a band of self proclaimed "womanizer" (that seems to mean that they wanted to be women, more than be "with" women) is enough to nail the coffin of crap-rock forever, listen to this and you can actually hear a faint hum in the background.
if you're man, that's your ball shrivelling into nothing.
if you're a woman, you can now have children, even if you were barren before.

avert your eyes children, it might try to take on other forms.

We both lie silently still
In the dead of the night
Although we both lie close together
We feel miles apart inside

Was it something I said or something I did
Did my words not come out right
Though I tried not to hurt you
Though I tried
But I guess thats why they say

Chorus:
Every rose has its thorn
Just like every night has its dawn
Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song
Every rose has its thorn

Yeah it does

I listen to our favorite song
Playing on the radio
Hear the dj say loves a game of easy come and
Easy go
But I wonder does he know
Has he ever felt like this
And I know that youd be here right now
If I could have let you know somehow
I guess

Chorus

Though its been a while now
I can still feel so much pain
Like a knife that cuts you the wound heals
But the scar, that scar remains

Solo(and what a rollicking solo it was)

I know I could have saved a love that night
If Id known what to say
Instead of makin love
We both made our separate ways

But now I hear you found somebody new
And that I never meant that much to you
To hear that tears me up inside
And to see you cuts me like a knife
I guess

I despise “socially conscious” music. Songs can not change the world.
aw, thats bull, man. bob dylan and the beatles (particularly Lennon) had a huge affect on the 70's culture. who's songs do you think they were singing at protest rally's? those songs invigorated people to go out and make a difference and let their voices be heard. those songs made people look at their world and realize that they needed change, and the only way that was gonna happen is if they got out there and demanded it, and thats exactly what they did!

Wilhelm, I've got to disagree with "That Smell"... it wasn't mean to change the world, it was meant to change the lifestyles of the members of the band. The "Whiskey bottles and brand new cars, Oak tree you're in my way." was a direct reference to Gary hitting an oak tree while in a drunken stupor in his new car. It was meant to save the band itself before it selfdestructed.

Nope, preaching to the choir.
Of course anything that becomes popular enough is going to have an impact on the world, and of course there are stupid teenagers that become Vegan solely 'cause they heard Moby saying it would be cool if they'd do that.

This is not like a treatise on culture and societal evolution, it's for the drunken, head-banging part of the brain, that wants to tar and feather James Blunt and then crank up the Motorhead.

But again, I'll accept the power of popularity, and fund-raising, but I do not believe that without the song "Strange Fruit" we'd still have segregation and lynchings.
It's people like Martin Luther King jr. that cause real change, not Stevie Wonder. Socially conscious music is just the soundtrack that provides goosebumps, but NOT the inspiration for action.

You'd still have patriots if The Star-Spangled Banner had never been written, and people still would've been screaming for change wihtout "We Shall Overcome".

I wasn't talking about the message. I included it under "gross", 'cause I don't want a repeating chorus that reminds me of when someone farts while you're on a road trip, or when a White Trash chick starts changing her baby's diaper in the movie theater, etc. :)

Heh, weird choice, 'cause I'd bet you a thousand bucks if you played Bob Seger for Rachmaninov he'd hate it even more than I do, lol.

Hey, Wilhelm and Jag, I know you guys discuss alot of music and know your s**t. Would you want to give a board I mod at a try?

That KoRn song where Korn Singer Guy belches out the lyrics "All day I dream about SEX!!" is the lamest thing ever.

Good job, Korn Singer Guy. You walked into a high school, went into the latrine, and wrote a song about the first thing you saw scrawled on the stall wall.

I can't wait for KoRn's next big single, "Call 928-3412 for hot gay sex".

i dunno, man. i truly believe that beatles/dylan music got some people out there to do what they did...it gave them the words they were looking for, and they got out there and sang those words against a government that they didnt approve of. other people saw this going on, realized these words being sung are the same thing they've been thinking and feeling, and they got involved too. in many cases they may have well been preaching to the choir....but they wrote the songs that the choir ended up singing, and that caused a big change in society.

Awesome. Its not a very busy place (or at least my forum isn't) but its full of people who know and love their music for the most part. http://www.bandlink.net/forum/ I'm one of the mods for the Classic Rock forum.

I think that was just lighting, angle, trick photography, etc. 'cause red-headed men are hard to look at as a rule.
Just imagine his bright red armpit hair and you may be cured.
