Leaving for Iraq soon....

That doesn't matter. If you sign up for the military you do what they tell you to do, and as long as it is not illegal (like shooting an unarmed civilian or performing torture), there is no debate. You do it, no questions asked. The military is not a democracy.

People who sign up know this.

Well therein lies the debate.

How can you respect military service members who will kill for any cause or purpose?

Then they signed for the wrong reasons. You sign up for the military knowing that you will be serving our country and our military in whatever way they deem necessary.
So you don't blame any of the willing, dutiful Nazi soldiers for their actions since they were serving their country in whatever it deemed to be necessary.

Is a soldier absolved of all moral responsibility if he's just following the orders of his homeland's gov't.?

Eros and Fred Fury have been in Boot Camp for 25 years.

Have not started yet remeber, I had to take the test. I took the test just recently actually. BCT Is like 9 hard weeks, evey week they teach you something new I heard. Next, theirs Advanced Individual Training [AIT], where you'll become an expert at your Military Occupational Specialty [Mos].

Location: Military Testing Room (A Community College Classroom on a Saturday)

Eros takes the test packet from the military administrator

Mil. Admin: Remember, we have a "No Tollerance" policy when it comes to using #2 pencils. ...None of this ".6" bull**** like last time!

No, it's like Hippy said, if the government is telling them to do somethign that is still considered illegal even in wartime, then they shouldn't do it. Technically this is still following orders though.

They who?
Whoever the "they" Blind Fury was talking about. Nobody specifically.

I'm not talking about concentration camps.
I'm talking about Nazi soldiers, invading countries to spread their ideology, which is what we're doing in Iraq.
We were never attacked by Iraq so there's nothing "self-defense" about it....unless we want to preemptively invade every country with dangerous weapons that pose a potential threat to us, in which case why not save time and just set out to conquer the world under our banner?
It's a takeover, just like Russia, or Nazi Germany, etc.

Does any of you remember the big lie at the time of George Bush Sr. of the giant cannon that was supposed to launch a missile from Iraq to the USA?
I can even remember an issue of the Punisher with Frank tied to the mouth of the cannon.
Back to our argument, if you saw the "Iraq for sale" you might have seen that sometimes soldiers in the war zone take orders from private contractors who should have no authority to give them. So, who are the "They" that decide what should be done?

thanks for all the nice comments left by u guys.....

they are giving us ipods...not the govt, but a local radio station here is hooking me up with a nice I Pod.

Yep. It's true. I got the message last night. I'm hyped up about it. Ppl always ask the same bull **** question, am i scared...Im like "I didn't join the army because of the safety factor"...geez...I am getting hazard pay out of it though.

Seriously Jourmugand, shut the f**k up. How about instead of saying something negative that equates to "I hate America" for once, how about you say something encouraging by hoping that the man makes it out of this safe and sound.

No wonder why everyone thinks you're an idiot.

I agree with you. All Jourmugand does is say the same s*** over and over.

We get it. You hate us. Just leave and shut up.

Actually he has a point.

Yes he does have a point, pay won't make a difference at all if he ends up crippled or dead, but Jourmugand's "I hate America" bullcrap is extremely old, extremely ignorant, and extremely repetitive.

How about he says something different for once that is not the equivalent to "I hate America," and just wish the guy good luck and hope that he makes it out safe and sound.

Here's hoping you make it home. And if you make it back when they first said you will, even better.

Drench a shirt in water and wrap it around your head...it'll keep you cool for quite a while. Those "ice wraps" they give you to wrap around your neck to keep cool don't work as good. Have fun and when you get back home don't drink too much at once.

Wouldn't that make him look like a Middle Eastern? :p
