Personally I'm not keen on the prospect of Dead Sun. Dark Prophecy (also detailed in that link) however I'm much more dismayed didn't get to see release.

Hopefully the upcoming Nosgoth/War for Nosgoth is enough to revive the series and we can see a full singleplayer game again with Kain that concludes his story.

It just really bums me out that LoK isn’t as respected as a franchise as it should be. I just want something out of the series that isn't some multiplayer cash in.

With next to no real details on the upcoming Nosgoth it's more than a little premature to say it's a cash in. Besides nothing else was being done with LoK. There were a couple of failed attempts at sequels, but for whatever reason we didn't get them. Nosgoth is at the moment the only thing keeping LoK from being completely dead.

I remember the first Legacy of Kain. So cool. Was never a fan of the Soul Reaver series though.

Im saddened to hear that they were too busy on the Tom Raider reboot to be more involved. Also sad that this was discussed as a PS4 launch title but that got scrapped.
