If there's one constant I love about this show above everything else, it's the chemistry between Dan Stevens and Rachel Keller. They're perfect together.
And that awkward talk about the two being in each other's bodies? Great light moment there.
That was a very creepy ending and episode in general. This really does have a Stranger Things vibe to it.
And I know I'm beating a dead horse while saying this, but this kind of close examination of a mutant with these abilities would be perfect for Jean Grey if Hawley got a shot to write the next main X-Men film instead of possibly Kinberg.
It just now dawned on me that for a possible limited run,
Fox's X-Men as a whole might be veering toward the horror genre.
I was wondering where this ep was going, since it started off so mellow and I thought this would a breather before s*** hit the fan in the next one.
And then that 2nd half kicked in!
Man, this is some great tv.
That was a very interesting episode, though I hope (and think) we are finished with 'memory work' after this. The second half had a lot of intense moments and as someone else said before in this thread we now have two evil things walking around. I do feel this episode was lower on answers and building up to things instead. Will have to rewatch it a couple of times as with each episode. t:
Yeah as sad as it makes me, I think I have to let Devil = Mojo go. Could still be either Shadow King or The Fiend though. Leaning toward The Fiend now. I still want him to be Mojo dammit, but it doesn't fit anymore at this point. Basically already didn't really fit in the previous episode either though. Syd should be able to see it on account of
her being a personality of David and David being able to see him.
Yeah, I think she was only up for three episodes as far as I know.
And side-note, does anyone know if there's a mutant in X-Men lore that has Ptonomy's abilities? Not if he's based off of anyone, just if there's anyone with that power.
And on an unrelated note, Bill Sienkiewicz, one of the writers of New Mutants, retweeted my tweet about the hug between Syd and young David. Clearly this is the high point of my life and I can go no further from here.
