Berlanti is doing a better job than some of the TNG staff. I mean... the choices seem to be Space Pimp/Gigolo or big gray shirts. No inbetween.

Remember the Man-Skirt?

They were banned due to universal disgust when Riker refused to sit in a chair normally with them.

The shakedown that happens in seasons one and two is fascinating to a hardcore fan like me. You see in those seasons the "throw it against the wall" approach.

"Maybe men in the future wear unisex clothes with a skirt?"

"Riker needs a signature move... Maybe he gets on and off chairs like he's mounting a horse?"

"Troi and Riker were an item... Maybe she calls him "Bill" every once in a while?"

One of my favourite episodes is still Conspiracy, where those space slugs took over Starfleet, and then got murdered as gruesomely as possible. And never showed up again. That idea kinda got tossed to the wayside once they decided the Borg were much cooler.

Season seven has that Deanna/Worf romance. They're married in an alternate universe, she tried to kill herself after having a hallucination where both of them got into a relationship and he cheated on her, and he gave her a friendly bite on the face when he started to turn into a reptile.

Man, the lounge gets weirder when I don't post. Fancy that.

and Link wore a skirt... and he's a bad bad mother****er. So suck on that

Yeah. At the time the way that story ended caused a little controversy. Broadcast standards even in syndication were starting to get more lax, even so that dude getting phaser melted and then the "king" creature emerging from his body was pretty out there when first broadcast. They got some push back from fans and parent groups for that. Could maybe factor into why those aliens never come back in TNG or any of the other series.

Personally, I remember the creatures on TOS scarring me when I was a kid too so I'm not the best to judge these things I guess.

There are three things I think were botched by the TNG team over the course of the series.

1. The Picard/Dr. Crusher relationship.

2. The way Wesley was written out of the show after building the character up.

3. The sudden shift to Troi/Worf after building up Troi/Riker only to abandon Troi/Worf to hook up Troi/Riker again.

It takes the Triforce of Courage to be able to pull it off, though.

The Beverly/Picard relationship was frustrating as blue balls. Especially after they have their minds linked and they have that camp fire revelation that Picard has always loved her. Then the next time they are having dinner and she brings it up and acts like she wants him to make a move and he does and she says she has to leave. Picard is left sitting there looking like sad keanu.

Totally agree man. It's like... Well if you didn't have it in you to actually come up with a "happy ending" for those two then get off the pot writers. That's what's so bad about that very episode. It could have been the start of ramping that relationship up but... Well maybe they thought they could string things out through the films?

The BvS cinematographer revealed that Zack Snyder has a cameo in BvS. The close up shot of Bruce Wayne's cellphone was actually Zack Snyder holding the phone.

That reminds of Quentin Tarantino's cameo in Inglourious Basterds as the hands that choked Diane Kruger to death.

That's unfortunate. I liked to imagine Blofeld killed her personally

That ****ing Nintendo Switch had better be sub $300, so I can get Breath of the Wild for it. Otherwise I'd have to get the Wii U version. And I need to be able to play Zelda in the middle of the wilderness, as God intended.

Tarantino actually choked the **** out of Diane Kruger when they filmed that. Her bulging blood shot eyes are real. Apparently the stunt guy or actor and Kruger werent getting it done with enough enthusiasm so Tarantino jumped in there and did it himself and choked her out.

Yea I am going to have to buy a Switch. Breath of the Wild looks insanely good.

I do question the systems reliability though... not so much the on-the-go part, but the two player portion of that where the sides come off and turn into controllers

Link of which world?

Kratos is a smasher of power houses, and he does it faster than the elf.

1. It's been decided Link wins.
2. Link is not an elf, he is Hylian.
3. Link has Navi.

The controllers that come with the thing do look like crap. They are putting out "pro" controllers for it, but of course those are sold separately.

The whole thing looks like gimmicky crap.
