Sci-Fi Leonardo DiCaprio enters "The Twilight Zone"

Eh, I could see maybe going for black and white but there is no real need to make it faux-50s entirely. The tone is the most important thing.

But yeah I'm not particularly interested in just a single story film. Many of the Twilight Zone stories featured ideas that were very interesting but couldn't necessarily carry a longer presentation. By keeping the stories short they were able to include a lot of interesting things that might have been pushed to the wayside otherwise.

I agree. Should be an anthology movie, like the one from the 80s. A single story sounds boring...

I would agree about an anthology but Serling has been ripped off so many times to make features that its insane. From V to Cocoon to The Matrix to Chucky, I would almost bet that most of these ideas stem from watching TZ.

They have made movies that were longer expansions of some of the classic short stories though.

I'd like to see a mix. For certain parts of the film it would jump to black and white and then back to color.

Personally, I still can't get over why te SySy channel doesn't have a Twilight Zone (or Outer Limits, or Tales From the Dark Side etc etc)....

isn't Jamie Foxx supposed to be putting something out, in the same vein? due out in October.

I always thought a story that has a lot of smaller connecting stories would make for an intriguing Twilight Zone film. This is a Wait and See.

Maybe instead of being just more stories from The Twilight Zone the story could actually feature somebody discovering about its existence and trying to explore its nature and possibilities.

I don't think the Zone is an actual place, but the emotional state of the characters.

I think it's something very complicated, the work of many things including emotions, possibilities and even chance, a good enough film about something trying to explore that could be interesting, as long as we're not given a concret answer of course, just the main character ending up being a victim of the event.

I've always looked at the Twilight Zone as another dimension that ordinary people can sometimes tap into when they trigger certain events.

Has anyone here seen the one with William Shatner?

The plane one with the Chewbacca thing lol.

That was a great episode.

No, I've seen another one with Shatner that was about a "fortune teller" thing in a diner. That one was good.

Yeah, loved The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street! Paranoia at its finest. Great episode.

Those are the only 2 I've seen. Had to watch them in class a couple years ago.

Do you remember why you guys had to watch them in class?

I love The Twilight Zone. Been watching the show ever since I was a little kid, my mom got me hooked on it. Though, I only stick to the Black and White episodes. Those are the best for me.

I remember watching a few in school, but I don't think there was any actual lesson, just that the teacher (who was a 26 year old guy) was able to show us a video, so he picked something he wanted to watch. He also let us watch Better Off Dead at the end of the school year. John Cusack goodness.

I honestly don't remember lol.

I hope the tween girls don't get all excited when they see "Twilight" in the title, thinking it's connected to those movies.
