I know a lot of people out there didn't enjoy the Matrix movies, especially the sequels. However, it cannot be denied that in these films, there were messages, both obvious and subvert. What I have come to ask is "What did you get out of it?" Now, if you disagree with what another poster has said, don't get into a heated debate, because everyone is going to have their own interpretation.

BTW, if there is another thread like this, I apologize, as the search turned up too many results to wade through.

What I got out of it was that the Human Race is pretty much doomed to serving the things we create.
If you've seen the Animatrix, you know how the Machines won, and it's pretty disturbing.
I liked the sequels.
They aren't the best movies, but they are fun to watch.

I liked the first Matrix and understood the storyline, I didn't care for it's message.

But the sequels were bad especially Matrix Revolutions, lesson I learned was this: Never watch a video game when you can play one at home.

The Matrix was great, the sequels were...decent at best. IMO.

to quote john hurt in the comedic classic spaceballs:

"oh no, not again..."

>dies on table<

Here's what I got out of it--

No matter what anyone tells you about your future, you shouldn't believe it because the robots are basically going to win in the end.
