There seems to be quite a bit of negativity going around and that’s not a problem at all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I’m the farthest thing from a rational fan. I just want to have fun and I could care less about things that don’t make sense.

Anyway with that out of the way let’s focus on the end which i think it’s safe to say was just absolutely insane..

Favorite moments? Epic moments ? Tear jerker moments? Which ones did it for you during that last hour.

Cap swinging the hammer. Holy hell I did not see that one coming caught me completely off guard. I don’t see how any living person could stay seated during that part. Watching Thors reaction with “I knew it” was priceless. So epic on so many levels.

Seeing Spider-Man again. I knew it would happen and yes I’m an irrational fanboy when it comes to the character , always have been. It’s the reason i joined this site years back. And it didn’t hurt that he got the loudest pop in my theater when he appeared. During the action scenes I just find myself constantly scanning to find him.

Obviously “avengers assemble”. We’ve been waiting years and years for that moment. Chris Evans absolutely nailed it.
.

By the way....Are spoiler tags even necessary at this point if I’m warning people of spoilers in the thread title ?

For me -
Cap wielding Mjolnir and Thor "I knew it"

Falcon "On your left"

Avengers Assemble

Tony hugging Peter

The whole thing was amazing, but those moments were so powerful

I went in expecting Cap to wield Mjolnir and his classic shield. I wanted it to happen so bad! I was still all giddy when I saw it. The total highlight of the film for me!! Easily the best part.
Falcon's saying "On your left" was not expected but put a smile on my face.
Avengers Assemble. That line has building up for the last 2 movies he was in.

Nineteen years when we sat at our seats and saw the opening scene of "X-Men" at the Auschwitz concentration camp, who would've imagined that we'd ever see something like this?

I just hope that DCEU finds its way and in a few years we'll experience something similar with Justice League and the rest of the DC characters.

Honorable mention goes to Hawkeye
his escape through the tunnel was pretty intense. You could feel his fear as he’s escaping. I loved it. He was handled so well in this movie .

Only around Steve staying in the past. It’s a divisive decision for sure.
Ah well it wouldn't be a finale to something if there wasn't one divisive element.

But still from what I can tell there's not that much negativity on the film as a whole

Can we avoid spoiler tags in here if I’ve already put a spoiler warning in the title.? Lol it’s not a big deal
Or anything just curious

That third act is easily the closest thing to replicating the same feelings I felt during that NY battle in the first Avengers. I don't think it was quite up to that level due to some characters not getting the standout moments I wanted, but it came pretty damn close. The emotional stakes in that third act make it way more epic though, and when certain characters do get to shine its satisfying as hell.

I agree. The stakes just felt all types of epic during that scene. It basically looked like one big love letter to the fans. Probably won’t ever get replicated again because the scope was so large but that’s fine. If that’s the best it ever gets that I’m good with that lol.

It's an amazingly epic climax so it's easier to talk about my negatives about it because it's a much smaller topic. I really want to see it again and notice how much I missed and forgot about it.

I avoided spoilers at all cost for this movie, so watching that final battle I was terrified at any moment that one of the original 6 would be dead. It was an intense sequence to say the least.

Hey everyone's entitled to their own opinion but personally I loved it.

Some personal highlights for me were
  • Ant-Man hooking the Chitauri Leviathan
  • Avenger's Assemble!
  • Tony's "I am Iron Man"
  • Spider-Man instant kill mode
  • Thor wielding Mjolnir & Stormbreaker
  • Cap wielding Mjolnir
  • Black Panther's running & redirecting kinetic energy
  • That shot of them all charging

Spiderman saving tony was another highlight for me. Peter and tony hugging. Other hero’s helping Spider-Man get across the battle field as he holds onto the glove .Spiderman swinging as the heroes charge at the start. Anyway now that I think about it the last hour needs more Spiderman lol. .. .I

The entire third act was incredible. Having every superhero onscreen for that final battle was a dream come true, obviously, and something that I was missing from Infinity War. This time around, everybody was there: and I mean everybody! It was wonderful. When the portals open and people start coming through, I was cheering and crying with joy, and just loving every second of it. That was exactly what I wanted to see. I loved getting Wasp in there too - the scene with all the women of the MCU coming together was awesome, especially Valkyrie, Carol and Scarlet Witch. Scarlet Witch I honestly thought was gonna kill Thanos for a moment there. She was great. Valkyrie on her pegasus was great. It was just - there was so much going on, and it was all so beautiful and epic, I loved it. Cap wielding Mjolnir was incredible, when he summoned the lightning and everything - I thought that Thor was really the only one kind of missing a big moment in the spotlight: though him and Cap fighting side-by-side was great. Tony and Pepper fighting together was also great. It was just, everything was wonderful. Everything. And Tony snapping his fingers, saying "I am Iron Man", was absolutely beautiful, and so sad. I wept.

While the first "Avengers" as a movie is much better than AEG, the New York battle is 10 % of "epicness" of the third act.

I wish they found a way to bring Vision back, but I get with the plot that would be very hard to pull off
