It looks like according to the trailer that the War Machine armor is created because the U.S. military wants the Iron Man suit. Tony is compensating the U.S. military, so they can get off his ass correct.

The sound was, so bad I couldn't here it.

Yes. As you can see Rhodes and the other guy from Iron Man were there. They're there to build a suit but it's beyond me how they get the arc reactor tech.

PLEASE tell me Black Widow isn't working for Shield which is working for the US Goverment.

I think she is working for Shield, but the place she was in looks like a U.S. facility.

Well I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I think BW's ultimate employer is going to be one of the big ?'s of the movie.

Well lets run down the possibilities:

1)Shield - a very high likelihood.

2)Hammer - also a high likelihood.

3)The Russian gov't - a little less likely, but still very possible.

4)The Mandarin - this one's way out on a limb.

I'm confused? I have looked at this trailer 3 times stark doesn't develope War Machine.

WELL I WATCHED IT 55 TIMES.

Anyways, I know Stark doesn't make the War Machine tech, Hammer does. But HOW they get the arc tech is beyond me. I'm guessing Black Widow is working for Hammer in the long run, and decides to join Shield or something.

Yeah I think thats whats going on here.
I was in denial about it.

Maybe, she's working for Fury who sent her to spy on Hammer by
working for him, and Hammer sent her to spy on Stark.

Or option number 2.

Maybe she's just bored and playing for her own team.

Did anyone else read Hammer in this conversation and think of Dark Reign?

What's up with The Mandarin, btw? Is he totally scrapped? Is he even going to be mentioned in the third film?

:hehe: How the hell would we know that at this point? I'm sure he will be alluded to in this movie though.

Hmmm there is many things I would say to you now but I won't as I'm turning over a new leaf.

But c'mon man. The third Iron Man movie is at least 5 years away, how is anyone supposed to know what will happen in it? I bet Favreau himself doesn't know what he is going to do for the third, the second one isn't even out yet.

Well, you're always clueless. No change there. :whatever:

Dude. Get over yourself.

Jon said Mandarin is the best villain and he hates how other superhero movies killed of the arch-enemy of all the heros in the first movie.

Mandarin will come in the 3rd.

It seems anyone can make an arc now .. look at Whiplash.

Guess the blueprints are on wikipedia or sommet.

Maybe since Tony is refusing to hand over the suit(s) the Gov. decide to forcibly take it, but somehow only manage to get the Mark II, which IIRC doesn't have any weapons. We've seen pics of Starks armor and each suit seems to have it's own Arc.
All that's left for the Gov. to do is add weapons. Hammer time!

:funny:
I think I read somewhere that Whiplashes tech isn't actually Arc but something similar.

but from the footage when he is making something you see a Stark blueprint.

so unless someone got it for him ... maybe BW .... then someone inside Stalk is selling off blueprints!?!

My theories:

-BW is working for Hammer.

-The government has forcibly taken Mark II armor, and is turning it into a weapon against Stark's wishes. More likely, it was stolen.

-BW somehow steals the plans for an arc reactor and gets them to Whiplash.

Just some ideas about how we could make sense of this.

what bothers me about the government stealing the armor is that rhodey seems ok with it. i mean are stark and rhodey not friends anymore? the first one had rhodey as the friend who's just kinda sick of his buddy's bs, but is still his best friend. from the footage it's like rhodey chose the military over his best friend. it doesn't make sense.

Why the hell would Stark make blue prints of the arc reactor?
