The one thing I did find funny and it actually touches on what you just mentioned DS and that is the scene where Yukio needs to tell Logan about her vision and Wolverine is just like "No time! Drive" and we see it cut to montage of a scenic drive through a Japanese hillside which shows that the drive was probably a long one and then when they finally get to their destination she's like "I saw that you died!".

I mean really? You couldn't of had told him that during that 1 hour drive there. Just found that a little funny. :hehe:
Oh man, I totally didn't realize that during the scene. I guess she was just nervous about telling him, but it is pretty funny. :funny:

Damn, now I wanna see how Mangold would've directed Origins.

Yeah that would have been so very different and brutal. Ah well at least we have one decent Wolverine film and who knows we may get a sequel and least more Wolvie action in DoFP to come.

Maybe they stopped for a nice lunch. :oldrazz:

The way Logan glared and said "I dont got time for this... DRIVE!" would've made me nervous to spill the beans to him too tho.

It was a LOT of food. And Yukio needed to keep reminding Logan not to leave the chopsticks sticking up. :awesome:
Forget The Wolverine. His new nickname should be "can't get right". :D

I've been in situations where I'm driving with someone who is furious, it's as if you are too scared to talk.. so you don't. That's probably what happened there.

Yukio didn't seem afraid of Logan in the scene. She seemed worried to tell him about his potential death. She had already started to care about him.

Not enough 'splosions?

Too much talking.
No "holy *****" moments.
Boring action moments except when Wolverine did that fake jump and the yakuza thug hit his head on that sign.
Just 2 mutants in the film.

Post Credits scene was better than the whole movie.

There were 5 mutants in the film. 6 if you count Jean.

And you were expecting lots of mutants, I suggest you read the title of the movie again. :cwink:

And read the interviews with, well EVERYONE involved with the movie, this was a self-contained film. I seem to recall that one of the biggest complaints about X3 and Origins was that there were TOO MANY Mutants and that most of them served no real purpose other than fanservice.

Jean never used her powers. The chick who can supposedly predict the future had a wrong prediction. Silver Samurai?

Wolverine and the blonde really were the only mutants in the movie lol the blonde did a good job but the final act ruined her for me, it made her look weak.

Yeah, it's called The Wolverine so if it's not Wolverine beating up on some humans and stopping a huge crime boss or something then I expect him to be beating up some cool mutantS.

I don't know, samurai's and Japanese girls were never my preference anyways but they could have at least added an epic moment or two in this movie. The loss of his claws wasn't even enough to make up for the boredom the movie brought to the entire audience. 2 or 3 people clapped, nobody really laughed, and mind you that this was a midnight premiere. However, when Xavier and Magneto showed up the place went wild.

Jean is still a mutant and if you think she is in the [BLACKOUT]White Hot Room, she is very much alive.[/BLACKOUT]

And Yukio was not wrong. The whole point is that [BLACKOUT]Yashida didn't die then. It was a fake out[/BLACKOUT]. Did you pay attention? :funny:

Jean id DEAD, she was a figment of his imagination. Have you read the Claremont/Miller miniseries that TW is based on? It's Wolverine fighting a lot of ninjas and humans, and its one of the greatest X-Men stories ever. There was no reason for there to be a lot of Mutants in this film, it was Wolverine at his most vulnerable. Also, my theatre loved it, so different strokes.

Too bad we didn't get to see her lift someone and tear him apart.

And maybe it was Yukio's huge accent that made it hard for me to comprehend what these Japanese folks were actually saying lol.

Silver Samurai lol more like a beta version of The Destroyer.

Nothing special in this movie, it was decent I guess. Better than Origins I'll give it that.

She didn't lift stuff because she was a hallucination, the real Jean is dead.
