Sorry, I can't buy the Deadpool complaint when people dont make the same complaint about Wolverine.

If Logan's hand isnt positioned in the exact correct spot each time, his claws would come out of his palms or through his wrists, and in the movies Logan's hands havent been positioned just right each time he snikt'd.

Except for Cyclops eyes, I actually liked movie Deadpool. I agree with you on the Stryker credits scene tho.

The more I think of it, the more I feel First Class is my favorite. More emotional moments, for me, better score, and the lead performances for Xavier and Magneto are still out of this world good. All time favorite scene is Magneto remembering Hanukah and moving the satellite dish, tears in eyes. Gets me every time.

The Wolverine is definitely second for me though. Solid film with a great character piece, good performances (great by Hugh), but a totally different third act that's a bit too jarring. Maybe if SS wasn't so huge and unlike the villains throughout the film.

I had no idea what Viper was saying about toxins at the end. Something about being immune to the toxin of men? What does that even mean.

She was talking about how she is a master of toxins and that they were her specialty (she did mention earlier in the film that she was a chemist) and that it was easy for her because she was naturally immune to them.

Her line about being immune to men was just a witty way of saying that she's not intimidated or easily enthralled by them - really liked that line from her.

I liked Deadpool in the film, in least the 5 minutes he was actually in it, Ryan Reynolds wa good for the role, but it was a big mistake to turn the merk with a mouth into that. As for Wolverine's claws i allways they were in his hand, i don't really like when they're portrayed as too big. But having an entire katana inside your arm? That's not very helpful.

Logan's claws in his hands even worse as he'd never been able to bend his wrists.

To me, I realized the moment he put away his sword, instead of committing seppuku with the other generals. It was clear that his fear of death was greater than his sense of honor, and when it became clear that he brought Logan to Japan under false pretenses, that confirmed it for me. Yukio's failure to foresee his death was the icing on the cake.

The way I looked at it is, that moment when he puts away his sword and Logan Saving him, is the moment he lost all his honour.

His motivation became power and thats all that mattered to him. Honour is lost to him, so he acted without honour built himself an empire and when he came face to face with death once again, he couldnt allow himself to have a peaceful death, so instead he choose to betray the man that saved him.

Now i've seen it, actually they can be in his arms, i figure his claws are in his lower arm, it fits and he can easily move his arm and wrist, there must be a mechanism that lets the claws go to his hand as in the films it was shown that it goes between the bones of his hand. So yeah, it makes more sence than Deadpool's katana claws which don't let him move his arms and probably his wrists too.

But Logan's claws don't bend. If they are in his forearm, his hands have to be at a perfect angle for the claws to come out where they do, otherwise they will come out through his palms or through his wrist.

I try not to think about the physics/biology of Logan's claws, it just gives me a headache.

Theres an excellent diagram that shows how Wolverines claws work logically but its a bit big to post here.

But yeah arguing over fictional biology is a bit of a never ending discussion.

Very well put.

Im just saying, if you wanna complain abound Deadpool's blades then you gotta look at Logan's claws too. Otherwise, I agree thats too much to get upset about which is why Deadpool's arm swords don't bother me in the least.

I still think it's not very bad, either way i believe there's a kind of mechanism. And IMO Wolverine's sword possibly getting out in other ways isn't near as bad as Deadpool having katanas in his arm, in least Wolverine can move.

Thats cool I wasnt having a go at you personally. And yeah you made a fair point. If you question one you have to question the other.

To me the desperation to cheat death was lost under his act of being a loving grandfather and offering Logan a way to live a normal life. With so much film between that and the reveal it felt kinda hollow to have him pop up again and about face with no real foreshadowing in terms of character.

That's funny.

Some people say the movie is bad because it was obvious what Yashida intended so it was no surprise at all that he [BLACKOUT]was still alive and in the Silver Samurai suit.[/BLACKOUT]

Some people say the movie is bad because there was no foreshadowing at all and [BLACKOUT]Yashida being the villain came as a big surprise that looked very much out of character.[/BLACKOUT]

Guys, are you sure you watched the same movie?

Opinions are funny things. We don't all line up and buy them from the same store.

Yeah, i find quite funny how it's allways one of the 2 quite oposite directions

Daken's were worse, with one coming out of the bottom of his wrist. Ouchies. :(

X-23 has one huge claw in each foot, that must hurt.

Wow, I saw the movie for the second time and I had more fun watching the movie especially the last twenty of the minutes of the movie and the mid-credits was just awesome! And I also understood the movie more. The crowd also liked the movie. The guy sitting beside thought the movie was solid! Then almost everybody stayed through the credits. The girl sitting beside me, loved the mid-credits scene and she was like "Oh X-Men, I wanna watch that now" and I heard someone said "good thing we didn't leave yet".

So now, I'm giving this film a 8/10. Its a very simple film yet its a very solid film. I felt like for the 1st time, I was really interested to see Logan and the "flawed" last twenty minutes of the movie were still an edge of the seat moment, like once it started, it really grabbed my attention.

I actually saw the film last Thursday but didn't get around to writing a review. As a long time Wolverine fan and someone who thinks his Japanese arc is one of the best comics ever written, I was very happy with the movie.

I liked how the film took it's time, showing us how down Logan was, then the story developed with Yashida, Logan taking in the Japanese culture (Mangold created a great atmosphere) and especially the relationships between him, Yukio and Mariko, they gave the film it's heart and invested me in the action once s**t hit the fan.

Speaking of the action, I loved the chase sequence as Logan tried to protect Mariko from the Yakuza as Harada picked them off from above, one zoom shot in particular was fantastic. Then there was the Bullet Train sequence which I thought was brilliant.

My favourite part of the movie followed said sequence with Logan and Mariko in the small fishing village, the way she helped Logan find some peace was beautifully done, Tao Okamoto was perfect as Mariko, a serene mix of strength, beauty and gentleness.

Amidst the drama and action the film also had a sharp sense of humour, something best showcased in the scene where Logan and Yukio go to see Noburo. :woot:

I liked that Shingen and Yashida had different motives, it made the story more interesting and the fight between Wolverine and Shingen was badass, whilst Viper was creepy as hell and served to feed in the mutant element.

The finale was not quite what I hoped for, at least from an execution standpoint. I was happy enough but the heavily cut Ninja battle was disappointing and while I felt the Robo-Samurai suit worked from a narrative perspective, it didn't provide a great fight scene.

The way the film ended with Mariko and Logan still connected makes me hope that Wolverine will end up in Japan again, and I loved the final scene of him and Yukio on the plane with her now anointing herself as his bodyguard! :D
