Tachyon field or not – there seems to be something very special with his sword since it can counter Wolverine's claws without breaking.

Can't wait for that bedroom fight, it looks sick.

I'm pleased with what's been shown of SS so far. It does look like he'll have a more traditional samurai armour look and a more modern version. Maybe the more modern version will be influenced by Shingen Harada's armour in the comics:

Gah. I hope not. Even though the glimpse of the second armour looks more mechanical, I'd rather it bore more resemblance to the original Silver Samurai comic armour than that.

I'm interested to see how SS's relationship with Shingen is. A big part of the Shingen/Wolverine arc in the original mini is that Shingen views Wolverine as being unworthy of his daughter, and not even a full human because he's a mutant. An animal in his eyes.

I will be interested to see then how he views his son if they keep Silver Samurai a mutant.

This is Silver Smaurai's character description for the film, it seems to indicate that he will indeed be a mutant.

"The illegitimate son of Shingen, who posses the ability to charge his katana with "tachyon energy", which can then cut through almost anything. Lee said that he underwent rigorous sword training for the film."

That's a very large set of armour. I'm wondering if they can realistically portray that as being piloted by someone.

Also, here is a look at the guy in the more traditional armour at the end of the trailer. Apparently this may be Lord Shingen and not Silver Samurai himself.

I'm guessing this is a more realistic way of portraying the Silver Samurai...it being a suit. Also makes it easier for him to tower over Wolverine

I don't get that either. Silver Samurai is just a guy in, well, silver Samurai Armor. How's a robot/mech suit more realistic?
