The Wolverine Lethal Samurai Steel - The Will Yun Lee / Silver Samurai Thread

So according to the Harada Feature, Harada is Markio's Bodyguard and a expert bowman who is also good at parkour? What are your guy's thoughts?

For a bodyguard he seemed pretty intent on assassinating his charge. Pretty sure that scene where he's trying to shoot Logan from the rooftops that Logan is running through the streets with Mariko. I'm guessing that Shingen is using him to get her out of the way at the funeral and Logan makes sure she escapes unharmed.

I have a feeling that he's working for both sides, he's like a double agent and at the end he will side with Viper/Shingen and not Mariko.

If he's in the armour and fighting Logan then he'd most likely be against Mariko anyway.

Maybe there's a love triangle? And Mariko chooses Logan over him and that didn't make him happy.

I really hope not. If Harada is still Shingen's illegitimate son that would make him Mariko's brother Plus even if they ignored that I'd feel like it would be a love angle too far. We've already got Jean and Mariko, possibly even Yukio if they keep that similar to the comics.

Yukio is definitely more like a younger sister/sidekick to Wolverine in this movie.

A downloable press release says SIlver samurai Is still Shingen's son.

One of featurettes has Yukio mentioning she Is wolverine's bodyguard.

I have feeling they dropped any romance between Wolverine and Yukio to focus on wolverine and Mariko.

That's the first news about this movie that makes me sad. I would've loved if they played with the Yukio/Logan tension, like in the comics.

I don't really like the idea of Wolverine having 2 to 3 love interest in the movie. Jean is already have a presence in the movie, then there's Mariko. Making Yukio as the third love-interest or give them that romantic tension would be too much in just 1 movie.

So you guys think that Viper will mind control Shingen and Harada and make him fight with Wolverine?

Oh, I fully agree.. But personally, I would've prefered the Yukio tension over Jean's presence by far.

Also,

I don't think so.. I think this story will be more complex than one 'bad guy' (or 'bad girl' in this case) who pulls all the strings. I think it'll be a web of betrayal, conflicting interests etc.

Maybe its a love dodecahedron!!!!

There's no way a person can fit in that armor and not have their limbs broken, the frame of it just doesn't fit a human's. It's too big. If someone was in there, the knee of the suit would bend where the human shin would be. No one is breaking any bones to control that..

Right, but in the case of iron manger, you can have a little human sized cockpit that has levers to control limbs etc.

Seriously, after four films featuring Iron Man and the latest action movie Pacific Rim? this is not new anymore. And its fiction.

I dont think he's saying its not believable but it just doesnt quite look like the right size and shape to fit a human in with its joints in the places it is.

I see where he is coming from on this and I really dont mind which way it goes however and I will happily hold up my hands and I say I was wrong, as long as it makes sense from a story and narrative perspective.

ITs all good:up:

I've seen enough anime to know that expecting anatomically correct armor is often unrealistic. The armor looks good, so I let it go. Also, I think that Viper is working for Shingen and Harada is scheming to take his father's place.

Well in 10 days time we will find out once and for all!!:woot:
