Lethal Weapon V

I agree, I cant wait for the some like it hot remake...............you just know Hollycrap isnt ashamed to sink that low.

All of you who keep saying that they shouldn't make it, don't seem to get it... The original writer is coming back to finish the series proper, that's awesome

Has anyone seen Glover lately? I think he looks better now than when he was making Lethal Weapon

Last time I saw him was in Shooter, last year.

I think he looks better now than when he was making Lethal Weapon

I don't know about better, but definitely older.

He looks older of course, but he looks much thinner in Shooter i thought than he did in Leathal Weapon where he was kinda ponchy (sp?). I only caught the end of it when my dad was watching it. Maybe my eyes were deceiving me, but he looked pretty good

I thought this was for Tyrese Gibson and Crispin Glover. :(

I'd be really excited for this if it wasn't a self-aware family renuion but a step back to what made the first lethal weapon so great. I love the introduction of Riggs when he takes out the playground sniper. If they could make a grittier sequel I'd be all for it - maybe they should upset the happy balance by killing off either Riggs or Murtaughs family so that they take the law into their own hands or something...Shane Black is a good thing..

Absolutely true: Lethal Weapon 4 was only made because Superman Lives! was cancelled.

Make "Riggs" more crazier than in LW4. He was too domesticated in the last one, which didn't settle with me well considering how he was in the other 3, especially the first 2. But, I'm not saying I didn't like LW4. I loved it, it was just more comedy driven, and didn't have the "edge" the first 2 had.

Hopefully Shane brought some of that magic back.

Mel used to be cool back in the '80s, but i don't like his anti-semitistic views.

He didn't have the edge in 4 because Roger and his family had changed him from being a suicidal loner to fairly cheerful thrill-seeker.

Who the hell cares?

I watched Lethal Weapon 1 last night and I just cracked up hysterically every time, Roger said "I'm too old for this ****" considering there trying to make a 4th sequel :D Anyway after watching it I really felt there was no need for a sequel to the first movie since everything was all tied up nice but the chemistry between Gibson and Glover is just so great that I could go on watching as many sequels as they want turn out.

I was gonna make a joke about "semitistic" but I couldn't think of anything...

if they do this it better not be pg-13 like die hard and terminator. I would rather them just leave it at 4 though

Heh heh. Yeah that was silly. No one under 17 was interested in Die Hard, anyway. They probably never heard of the other three. :hehe:

While I'd watch a fifth, I thought the way 4 ended, with the family portrait, was the perfect way to end the entire series.

LW4 was atrocious... like watching a (bad) spoof of the series. But maybe with Shane Black writing... ... I'm skeptical though.

I actually liked LW4. The whole 'family theme' at end was nice.

Poor Murtaugh. He's been considering retirement since the early 80's and they just won't let him go.

His grandson takes his place in the 5th one.

"I'm too young for this s#*@!!"
