Lethal Weapon was made in '87 and its success was a curse for Glover, by the early 90s a lot of his work was voice acting because he was type cast in his role from Lethal Weapon. His only other notable role during the period was Predator II. He would've accepted a role like Robbie...plus he has the perfect personality for it.

Very true. It's not uncommon for big stars to take small roles in films full of other big stars.
