Old Glory:

In World War II, scientists were scrabbling for a way to gain the edge over the axis powers. They found it in the Oscilating Gammetron. A device that emitted a radiation frequency that changed who ever was exposed to it. It gave them enhanced strength, invulnerability, speed, the ablity to fly, longevity, and enhanced senses. There was a side effect though, but it was not discovered until five men had been exposed: Insanity. the device was destroyed when four of the five men sank into irreversibly insanity. They were violent and sadistic. Absolutely heartless.

The one exception was Capt. Frank Powers, a career soldier. He was the only soldier to hang on to his sanity and remain loyal. He was set up to be a grand hero, used as a propaganda generating magnet. However, when he saw how the military machine degraded, he gave up the fight. He retired. But on 9-11 the Army asked him to put on his old costume again. He'd barely aged a day since he'd first become "Old Glory". He agreed, so long as he was allowed to do things his way. so desperate were they for help, that they said yes in a heartbeat. Now his plans include forming an untouchables-style unit comprised of old soldiers, young ones he's sure he can trust, and any other super-hero he thinks he can trust.

Sadly, his secret is close to getting out: He didn't escape the side-effect of insanity, but he has struggled against it every day. he fights to keep himself in control.

as much a tale about an old soldier retaking his mantle as it is about the fine line between sanity and madness.

Liberty

Cory Flank was having the worst day of life. His wife had kicked him out of the house, his manager had terminated his contract and estranged him from the music business, and because most of his clothing was part of now terminated endorsement deals, he ended his day lying in gutter wearing nothing but his underwear. To make matters worse, a lightning bolt from the thunder storm outside passed through a sewer grate and struck him, apparently killing him. But instead of the Other Side, he found himself seated at one end of a large table in a dark room. Seated on either side of him were people of various sizes and descriptions. The man at the other end of the table, an elderly man in a white robe holding a golden staff, explained that everyone at the table had been an unfortunate human soul at one time but had become the human form of various concepts when they passed away. The man, Divinity, went on to explain that Cory had been especially selected to embody the the spirit of Liberty, the one position not yet filled. Cory agreed, and his body back on earth came back to life with the spirit of Liberty. Now with a new lease on life, Cory Flank, as Liberty, fights for truth, justice, and the Libretarian ...no wait, that's Sageman. LOL.

The Scales Of Justice-
As Commander Tom Parker leveled his way though the Vietnamise jungle his team was horrificly murderd by the Guerilla force but he waged on to avenge his team, as he got to ward the Vietnamise city he continued to fight till he got to a newly established Capital building he was surrounded by the force that had killed his crew, his family, moments before just as he thought he was dead, a bomb hit the capital building forceing the statue of justice to fall on the Guerillas narrowly missing him. Ever since then he knew that justice was on the side of america, he would use all his might to train and hone his skills to Balance the Scales of Justice!!!
