An ice cream parlor owner was arrested and charged with sexually abusing three teenage employees at his Huntington Station store, police said Tuesday.
Gian Nagpal, 49, of 75 Truxton Rd., Dix Hills, the owner of Maggie Moo's ice cream parlor at Walt Whitman Mall, was first arrested July 10, police said, and charged with third-degree sexual abuse after a 17-year-old employee complained that he had touched her inappropriately. Nagpal, who is married and a father, police said, was released after posting $250 bail, but the investigation continued.
Det. Sgt. Bruce Markgraf said Nagpal was arrested again Tuesday and charged with two more counts of sexual abuse after police discovered two more victims, a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old. One of the girls was groped numerous times, police said. "There may be more," Markgraf said. "We're looking into that."
Nagpal, of Dix Hills, said he had fired the high school girls. He denied groping them. "These are stupid charges," he said.
Police asked that anyone with more information call Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8241 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
