Watching this season it does seems like many of the L.A based actors in the cast have had their characters put in positions in which they could be easily written out of the show.

Well, that was an interesting ending.....though I suppose the renewal sorta spoils it a bit.

Susan Sarandon's back as a series regular. Is this the first time since maybe Hank Azaria- or someone that wasn't directly tied to or part of the Donovan family- that they've kept a guest in-between seasons or did that happen to someone else, too? Was really hoping that Katie Holmes would've returned at some point.

Sam Winslow is back to stay! Susan Sarandon will return to Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” as a series regular for Season 6, reprising her role as the powerful studio head — because you know Hollywood loves to see itself on screen.

On the show’s Season 5 finale, Sarandon’s Winslow agrees to help Liev Schreiber’s titular character on a personal matter, on the condition that Ray kill her No. 2 at the studio, Doug Landry (Michel Gill). Meanwhile, Mickey (Jon Voight) tried to get himself out of jail by turning the tables on Ray, only for them to be left at odds once again.

I'm watching now. This one almost slipped past me. As always, poor Bunchy. And Mick's plan...I have to believe there are easier ways to try and get yourself out of prison than what he did consuming all that dirt and those cigarette butts.

And I know that I'm throwing logic into the equation here, but I have to imagine that a fall from that height should have killed Ray. Or at least shattered every bone in his body.

Showtime Reveals Fate of 'Ray Donovan'

Showtime renewed the Liev Schreiber-starring Ray Donovan for a seventh season, while the show is still in the middle of its sixth, on Thursday.

The new season will start production in New York in Spring 2019.

Given everything that's happened in the season so far, I wouldn't be surprised if Lena walked. Or at least was more reluctant to help Ray than she already is now. Like she and Bridget have been pointing out, Ray pushes folks away until he's the only one left standing.

Ray must seriously have a bad case of CTE from all the head knocks he's gotten just in this season alone. No wonder he hallucinates.

Mick is just so toxic. I’m so sad at how low Bunchy has gone since teaming up with Mick.

Don't know. Show opened with him losing custody of Maria because he was keeping her at the bar(I think), but then he was acting like the bar itself was also lost. There was no explanation for why. I guess they needed some reason for him to run off with his dad.

I finally finished the last two episodes of S6. Good Stuff. Still one of my favorite shows.
