Logical Timeline Between Origin To X1

I know. Cloned animals. He makes it seem like there are cloned people all over. Least that's what I got from it.

Yeah. Plus, unless my history's a bit off, has there been such a thing involving Sabretooth and clones?

I never implied human clones exist, I did though hint at the idea that one day they will as science is getting closer and closer.

And just so you know, the first clone (general word) was born in 1997.

It was a sheep.

This whole "clones are ridiculous" mindset makes no sense.

You wanna know what I think is tacky and ridiculous?

Schreiber Sabretooth becoming X1 Sabretooth.

Going from great to crap.

I never said clones were ridiculous, I just don't think it would work in this X-Universe. Nothing in the last few movies would even hint at something like that, so why go so far out to try to explain something that doesnt need explaining? Plus, don't try to give me a ****ing history lesson and make me out to be stupid. I know about the sheep, which is what I meant with the "animal clone" post. You can't change what's been done. Now we just have to see what the movie will bring. My guess is Stryker operates on him, making him a mindless brute who's his lacky, until Magneto brings him in. That's my guess.

In the Empire magazine article, it says the name Sabretooth isn't used in the Wolverine movie. Although Liev Schreiber said in an interview that he was credited as Sabretooth.

I think not using the Sabretooth name would be fine.

I'm sure the differing Sabretooths won't be the only disparity. Only on here could we see such unrelenting raking over the coals for every millisecond of footage and every molecule of information. Everything - hate and worship - is so magnified on here!

The Magneto screenplay I have here has several things that were not what X1 had stated/implied. Boo-hoo.

I don’t mind it either, and I don’t mind the discrepancy between the two performances, especially with regards to an origin movie. I’ve never been a fan of the clone storyline, nor any silly storyline that could serve as a detriment to the movie in order to explain an almost 10 year old performance, something most people probably aren’t going to care about.

I believe Sinister successfully cloned all of the Marauders except Sabretooth and perhaps Malice. The X-Men once gained access to Sinister's base, where Sinister's clone baths were malfunctioning. An imperfect Sabretooth clone was made but fell apart. Other than that, I don't believe there are any Sabretooth clone related stories from which to draw.

Yes. Professor Xavier informs Wolverine that the man who attacked him in the woods is an associate of Magneto's, called Sabretooth.

Ok, thanks. I haven't seem that movie in so long and I don't intend to again. My least favorite of the trio.

I really hope that's not the case.

At this point it would feel like if Nolan does Batman 3 and hires Randy Couture to play The Joker.

ya just dont go from a guy like Schreiber to a thing like Mane.

:whatever:No, it wouldn't because this continuity is already set, and the roles have been cast. No one knows what's gonna happen with that franchise, so Joker's involvement wouldn't be known. Here, we already know the fact that Creed in involved with Logan's past. This and your little comparison there have no backing and is kind of pointless.

It was a hypothetical comparison.

What's the point of your post exactly?

You saying you would rather serve continuity instead of keeping Schreiber's Sabretooth respectable and not have him turn into a moron?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I'd rather they give me an idiot Sabretooth then disregard what has kept me going to the movies for 9 years to see these movies. Oh, and the point of my post was to tell you that you comparison has nothing with what we're talking about, just you trying win an argument.

So X1 Sabretooth is what kept you going to see the movies for 9 years?

That's sad.

And on the argument front, you're on your own as I haven't got a clue as to why you're questioning my comparison.

*Can anybody else here please address the comparison as valid so this guy here can chill?

I think he's saying that somehow they will have to connect both Sabretooths, in order for the first movie not to be totally disregarded.

The best idea I think they can use is to say X1 Sabretooh is a clone and leave it at that.

Other than them totally disregarding or not mentioning anything about the disparities between X-men 1 Sabretooth and Wolverine: Origins Sabretooth, I'm actually okay with them saying that the Weapon X program ****ed him up.

...Pete mccabe you can also stop acting like a know-it-all all the time. That's the vibe *I* get from your posts...

...TheDarkKnight08 could be talking about the former continuity in general, SNIKT1950.

???

i just dont see why X1 Creed is that important to not be disregarded.

so what if he fought Logan and stole his dog tag?

it can easily be construed as a clone or a figment of our imagination.

We saw Jamie Madrox/Multiple Man clone himself in X3 several times. If Leech's DNA could make a mutant cure, then Jamie's DNA could make a cloning serum!

Seriously, I think you are getting too hung up on the different actors. I don't think the name Sabretooth will be used in this prequel, it will be something Creed becomes after further genetic tampering or it will be some kind of attempted clone. Or just a secondary mutation like Beast becoming more animalistic.

I quite like the idea of Stryker's genetic experimentation being the reason. Sort of like Dr Moreau. It would be cool to see a post-credits scene where Stryker says: "Let's see what we can do with you. You want the name Sabretooth? Well when it comes to mutants I do love to experiment...", then there is screaming and some kind of terrible procedure with injections and radiation and the Schreiber face on screen morphs into Mane who then bursts out of the lab and roars off into the forest.

This thing about Madrox was that that was his mutation, but I see what you're saying. And, YES, THAT is what I'd like to see with Sabretooth.

I like that idea, but for some reason the wording you used sounds hilarious.

Maybe it's just too early over here for me. :whatever:

Take it as a solo entidy! There is no such thing as continuity in movies.
You'd have to bring in well, whats with deathstrike then? As well as wolverine, like, theres just to many flaws, what these film companies need to do is write these as if there anticipating sequels, or spin-offs, and really, only marvel understands that with the Avengers, which makes me believe they really have thought this through and already have a script, instead of just winging it like so many other franchises. I mean really, aside from (BB & TDK sorry for seeming a fan boy but only thing I can think of atm), most super hero stories don't have strong continuitys, which I really wish they'd improve upon.

Even though I myself don't like the clone concept, the idea that at the end of the movie the filmmakers purposely make Sabertooth into a weaker character is just atrocious. Why on earth would you want him to turn into that version of Sabertooth? Honestly, if I had to choose between continuity and characterization, I'd choose characterization every time.

I agree. I don't like any idea of transforming Sabretooth into a weaker character at the end of the film just to explain why he was poorly received in X1.

The thing that still gets me though is that in this film Wolverine supposedly goes under the Adamantium treatment so he would be on equal terms with Sabretooth...but in X1 he couldn't beat him 1 on 1. So memory loss effects fighting ability too?

Thank you.

There will be no SHIELD, Iron Man, Hulk, etc...cameos in any Fox related movie when the rights of those other character lie with Marvel.
