Could they just be setting things up that Lois knows Clarks secret? I mean this past few years storylines are very similar to the first few years of the mythos Lois & Clark. Smallville has adapted many of the plot points of the mythos.

I would personally love to see them let Lois know at some point in the series, even if she doesn't let Clark or anyone know she knows. That way they don't have to keep her as the oblivious and blind reporter that she has been known to be when it comes to distinguishing Clark from Superman.

I was watching Infamous earlier today and we've already seen that Lois will be far more accepting of Clark than he would imagine, so why not let her know?

this is an interesting thing. either they will go with what they did in season 4 with chloe finding out, and leaving hints/waiting for clark to do it himself. Or if she comes right out and tells clark she knows maybe john jones will do a little mind altering on her. Should be fun to see what they do.

Well, they did a good job with explaining Lois' actions towards protecting The Blur. I'm sure we could see something simular to what Chloe went through by knowing Clark's secret, and waiting for him to come clean. Afterall, Chloe made up excuses to Lana and Lois when it seemed like they were getting close to finding out the truth. Lois could do the same thing.

yea there is many ways they could probably play this.

They could have a lot of fun with Lois knowing Clark is the Blur, but pretending she doesn't know.

It became clear a few seasons ago that this isn't the regular DC Universe Superman. its more like an Ultimate Superman. So anything could happen.
Lois could know that Clark is Superman, maybe even help him create his disguise like in "Another Nail".
("The secret to a great disguise is simplification.")

So maybe she is part of Clark's mission of truth justice and the American way from the very beginning. That could be fun.
Sort of makes me wish they had done this long ago, including moving to Metropolis, and bringing in his costume.

I personally would love to see it.

Exactly. Reading some peoples post about this at times makes me wonder if people know/realize that in the comics Lois has been Mrs. Clark Kent for 14years.

I hope they keep Lois in on the secret. I don't think they will get married next season though. I just can't see them doing a wedding in season 10. But I think they will stay involved with each other.

yea i dont want to see a wedding myself, if any just engagment but not actual wedding.

Gotta feel bad for Clark though, by this time in the original timeline he was supposed to already be in there with Lois, but after deciding to change things after Pandora they got far enough to break-up. Maybe he should stop messing with time lol

I think he made the right choice. Zod and his goons would have taken over Earth by now and Clark would have lost his powers. Not to mention his relationship with Chloe and Oliver would be strained.

Smallville is its own continuity, a seperate universe of the comic-verse.

So yea, I hope they let Lois in on the secret. I've been wanting them to do that for a couple of seasons now. Her figuring it out in the show was :awesome:!

I just hope they don't like they did at the end of season 1/ start of season 2 when Clark saved Lana in the truck and she saw him but he kept denying it and they almost wouldn't get together because he kept trying to hide it.

No one here seems to have mentioned that Clark kissed Lois knowing that she would figure out that the Blur was actually him.

It was his way of revealing to Lois that he is the Blur.

I guess you have to be a romantic to see that one. :cwink:

The best thing they can do is have Lois know, but keep it to herself. It will allow for an extra dynamic (and maybe some comedy) in their relationship next season when Clark keeps making excuses to dash off and she knows exactly what he's up to.

yea i hope they play things differently then the crap with lana over the yrs and his powers/secret. Romance wise they been handling lois and clark alot better which is good. As for her knowing yea so many different ways this will ultimately go and we have 4 months to wait urrrgghhh lol.

A few seasons ago? It was pretty evident from season one.

I don't know Avid. I was under the impression that Clark didn't realize he'd be giving himself away, and that he was trying to let her know that she'd been forgiven -without- giving away his identity. However, it was also his way of saying goodbye. As he figured he'd be gone forever as soon as he got the book of Rao back.

Well, I mean, what do we know? We know that in 3 years, Superman is active, and Lois knows it's Clark. They're also married.

I'm hoping they just go with her knowing. And maybe hold off with letting Clark know she knows for awhile.

I'm pretty sure he knew that he'd be giving himself away. This is the same girl who knew that she wasn't kissing Green Arrow a couple of seasons back.

His plan was that he was leaving and by kissing her he was letting her know that he hadn't just fell off the face of the Earth.... that he was the Blur and everything was explained in that one moment.

Now when they come back next season, if she doesnt say that she knows then he may think otherwise, but my belief is that in Salvation it was his intent to explain his actions with a kiss.

And I'm sticking to that. http://forums.superherohype.com/images/smilies/th_biggrin.gif

It seems to me the moment was intentionally left ambiguous. They kissed. He left. She said, "Clark." While I personally hope that they will allow Lois to know Clark's secret, I am willing to bet that the writers intended that after the passionate kiss with the Blur, her thoughts immediately went to Clark, which demonstrates that she "chooses" him.

I like that they borrowed for "Lois and Clark" in that Lois makes the discovery thanks to an intimate momment. In L&C it was they way he "cupped" her face both as Clark and Superman and in SV its a kiss. I think that should be ingrained into the Superman mythos that Lois makes the connection thru some form of subtle intimacy taht both Superman and CK share with her.

I'm greatly looking forward to seeing how they'll handle Lois in on the secret now .

I think when they come back Lois will be like Chloe was in season 4, taking her own advice and not saying anything and waiting for Clark to be ready to tell her.
