Why wasn't there any animosity with Laufey over Odin taking baby Loki? Why wasn't the baby guarded?

Why wasn't Loki larger in stature, being a Frost Giant?

Loki was left to die because he was small like a spartan child. Laufey didn't want him, didn't care Odin took him.

And didn't seem to know that Odin took him? I got that impression.

Yeah that's what I thought too, or Laufey would have guessed something was up when Loki tricked him into going to Asgard to kill Odin.

Loki was left because he was a runt. Many Cultures in the past would leave sickly babies because they wouldn't make it in the world then. I'm sure that was a reason Laufey left Loki behind.

Well.... clearly the Frost Giants are shape shifters, Loki, clearly shifted much like a chameleon.

I got it, it was all very kind of real and sad to me..... as I write this I have a 5 month old son myself, and If I saw a baby boy left for dead, you bet your ash I would take him for my own.
