Yeah... even as a fan of the classic costume, I'd never expect it to work in live-action without some necessary adjustments. The one in the gif... probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Does spandex even work that way in real life? Or is that leather, which would probably be even worse.

I guess they're too caught up in defending the movie that they cant see any other way.

I dont mind Harley's hot topic outfit, but to say it's unrealistic for her to wear a jester suit just doesn't make any sense.

to be honest, I don't really care. i do find the head gear to be ridiculous and distracting, but the costume itself, if it works and margot wants to wear it, why not. maybe in the future movie, like a flashback scene, or maybe in a kinky joker/harley interlude.

I liked Insurgency Harley:

I'm not a huge fan of the jester suit, but I won't criticize it. I think it could work if done right. It would need some work done to it, with some notable changes to actually look right on the big screen.

I don't know if the costume was featured in the unrated version of The Wolverine. But they did make a comic accurate Wolverine costume for that movie and it wasn't in the movie, but the jester costume does seem to be in the movie even though she doesn't wear it.
