You know, I couldn't help notice how much Smallville (the show) really stood out during this whole documentary compared to all the Superman shows and movies that were talked about. You gotta admit, for a show about Superman that doesn't even have him in costume yet, this show has last longer than anyone could have predicted.:)

The musical was ten times worse than Super pup. Super pup wasn't that bad at all...

For me, those Fleisher cartoon clips kicked everything else's ass in the doc. Damn were those cartoons beautiful or what?

Yeah, those cartoons were very nice. I've never actually watched any of them myself, though. Was Lex ever in any of those?

I have no idea because I've never seen any of them either, but what they showed looked fantastic.

I vote Superpup as worse. At least I enjoyed laughing at the musical.

Yes...Superpup seemed to be unintentionally horrifying...like clowns.

*shudder*

Nah, mostly Superman dealt with mad scientists, robots and things to that degree.

You can actually download them all off of Kal-El.org.

Heh, I actually have them all on my ipod.
God I love being a dork:up:

But... Luthor is a mad scientist.
Maybe the cartoons were before his time?

Anne Archer would have made an awesome Lois. She was the hottest one to audition.

And it's amazing how Reeve just pwned everyone during that screentest. He is just so naturally charming and humble, like Reeves was before. And now Routh it seems.

Was it me, or did that guy playing Superman in that musical really resemble Frank Stallone (Sly's c-movie actor brother)?

Don't forget he is a singer as well.

I commented that he looked like Sylvester actually. Same wave.

Well, it should also be noted that Reeve had a background in musical theater. I wonder if the musical would have turned out any better if he had played the role, or if we'd all be laughing at him now.

They say that 20 minutes extra will be added to the documentary when the DvD comes out on the 17'th (isn't it?)... I'll bet that that added stuff is mostly from superman returns, or about superman returns.

The 20th, and I'd like to see more on TAS honestly. Or I'd like to see them tackle more of the big stories from the comic books, maybe talk about crisis stuff because I feel that's pretty important to the mythos.

Even better would be them going into dirty detail about the making of Superman Lives. Hell, you could make a doc on that alone!

Yeah, that's what I was hoping the primary focus of this doc would be about... the long, hellish process of what it took to get Superman back on the big screen after all these years. That story is fascinating and would make a great documentary or docudrama. Even so though, this doc was still amazing.

I loved the documentary. I think Jon Peters got way too much time. He shouldn't of even got interviewed. He wanted Superman to go the "Star Wars route". That was idiotic.

Tom Welling should've been interviewed.

I'm getting this DVD next week.

Yeah I was wondering about Welling myself. I mean, they got the guy who played Superboy, and the only actor from Smallville was Annette O'Toole? They had to have asked him.

I got to say the Musical is the worst one compare to Superpup. Superpup is damn awful, but it can't be as worst as the musical one. I mean Superman does kung-fu?!? Since when does Superman really need to do kung-fu when his fists does all the talking? I rest my case. :p

Kung-fu? Are you serious? Is there anyway to see this online?
