Superman Returns LOOK UP IN THE SKY: THE AMAZING STORY OF SUPERMAN doc trailer

You love the sunglasses smiley. I am going to call it the Robosmiley.

I noticed that too.

I wonder if that was just to be used in certain instances such as darker scenes or underwater sequences. If not, it might have been different variations of the suit which we have been hoping for. I do know from the beginning Singer wanted darker red so I don't know if any suits were made with a lighter red color.

Maybe they used those to test how well they looked on camera. Apparently the color issues are not over yet since the reporters present on the private screening were told the colors for the film needed some adjustment.

Or perhaps the colours from the green screen messes with the colour.

Good point. I hope we see different suits on the DVD.

That's another possibility as well.

the possibilitys are endless..i would expect the underwater ones to be a different colour. the flying cape to be brighter (didn't they say the cape would look like he was engulfed in red)

Sorry if this has already been posted, but...

If anyone missed it, AOL's In2TV site now has its own Superman channel. You can watch the documentary, episodes from other Superman series (Adventures of Superman; Lois and Clark; Superboy) and the Fleischer cartoons.

It's interesting to note that none of the Superboy episodes are from the upcoming season 1 set. Instead, they're culled from seasons 2, 3, and 4 and feature Gerard Christopher's Superboy. I wonder if this means those seasons are already planned for dvd as well?

doesnt work if your not in the USA

this was a really well made documentary... although, with the exception of the end, i'd seen the whoole thing already. i'm not complaining, though.

and brandons clark = teh goodness. when he walked into that door i was like... uh, yeah. that's clark.

and his superman doesn't look half bad, either. :)

Overall it was a great doc. I kept getting chills throughout the whole thing...
Chill Worthy Moments:
The death of George Reeves
The return of Superman to pop culture relevance with the '78 film (the Williams score helped out here...)
The Musical and SuperPup (baaaaad chills...)
The death of Christopher Reeve
The 9-11 rescue worker who scribbled the \S/ on his chest (that was a big one...)
and finally, the awesome new footage of SR.

Great, great documentary

I gotta agree . That musical looked dreadful . I'm still cracking up on that dreadful song the guy was singing. After I saw that bit I asked my mother, "Don't you think you guys took the whole disco thing a little too far ?" .

I thought the documentary was great . It showed the good and the bad without pulling any punches . It was a great reflection of Superman and America from the 30's to Now. It's also got me pretty ciked for the movie:supes:

You guys that are not from the US does the site not let you download the episodes or does it let you download them and then they dont play?

I'm talking about the other Superman stuff at the site. i cant get the doc to play either and it doesnt have the option to download it like the other Superman videos.

Was it me, or did that guy playing Superman in that musical really resemble Frank Stallone (Sly's c-movie actor brother)?

You guys are outta your minds if you think Bark Bent and Perry Bite were a lowpoint of Superman's history!!!!! I can't believe this gem is not available on dvd, as it would basically be a license to print money!!!!!

Seriously, that segment was funny as hell. Tell me you wouldn't want to get high while watching that show.
