I don't know if anyone else looks at those damn zergnet ads that show up on so many of the Comic film websites, but I notice them, and occasionally click on them if the headline sounds interesting. Recently, I've begun to notice a trend: pretty much EVERY negative list-icle about Marvel studios comes from one place: Looper.com
Now it's not just Marvel, per se, they seem to love crapping on anything from "nerd culture". But the majority of their ire seems directed at Marvel; take a look at their front page, and here's a sampling of headlines you'd see:
-ACTORS WHOSE CAREERS WERE RUINED BY MARVEL AND DC MOVIES
-CHARACTERS MARVEL STOLE FROM DC AND GAVE A NEW NAME
-HOW STAR WARS SAVED MARVEL COMICS
-WHY MARVEL's PHASE 3 WILL DESTROY THE FRANCHISE
-WHY INHUMANS COULD CAUSE BIG PROBLEMS FOR MARVEL
-WHY THE CIVIL WAR TRAILER SHOULD WORRY YOU
There is a smattering of similar articles for Fox and DC properties and Star Wars, but they seem to be balanced by a fair amount of semi-positive articles. But Marvel gets pretty much nothin but haterade.
Basically I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this, and what looper.com's vendetta against Marvel might be? Are they owned by WB?? Or are they just a concern trolling, click-baiting waste of internet space???
I hate clickbait, and never click on ads, but they do a damn good job of making their headlines interest-arousing, they raise my blood pressure with just a few words and I can't resist.
