OK I'm not talking about a hill in your backyard LV. I'm talking about like the Pocono Mountains or the Rockies. Ya smartass

Ugh, I shouldn't of opened my mouth.

Errmmmm.....I would've been more specific on the necessary supplies you'd need had I known what terrain or area you wanted to hike & for how many days etc.

lol I am just spit balling here. I'd like to get a group together but who the hell knows if any of my friends would want to do something like this.

I'd like to go at least over night. Maybe for my first time I'd go for one full day and full night, then trek back the next. Once I start hiking more I'll go on hikes where it takes me a few days to get to my destination.

I'd really need some good training in terrain and navigation. I wouldn't want to go half assed and get eaten by a bear.

Yeh, Duke is like the best peron in the Lounge now.

The rest of them suck.

Especially when you live in a country with no bears.

I've encountered many bears. But they all had Nic Cage in them...

I will blend in with them.....I am not worried

Imagine hiking looking off in the distance and seeing a guy with nothing but that on walking up a mountain. You'd think he literally owned that mountain.

Any hiking in those areas I would advise a pistol. Preferably .357 magnum or 10 mm just in case you come across wildlife (boars bears mountain lions/cougars). Even public trails that are well maintained have dangerous animals walk through. Id also advise talking to a game warden or thoroughly researching the area you plan to hike. Preperation is key.

I do. Every night before I go to bead. :o

It helps me sleep.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I'm surprised that if you want to hike in certain areas you don't need any survival guide certificates or anything. Especially if they are dangerous areas. But some of me isn't because anyone should be able to go out and walk around wherever they damn well please.

Yeah its pretty crazy how they expect people with no experience or protection to just go off trapsing through the wilderness and not get hurt. I usually carry my glock .40 in the woods and even that wouldnt penetrate a black bears skull, but its better than a stick lol.

Now that I think about it, I'm surprised there aren't more articles of inexperienced hikers getting lost or killed int he woods. Ok now I'm psyching myself out.

Don't push the panic button. Just plan carefully for everything & you'll be OK.

They did Star Wars, now they do Avengers...

Interesting. I had the the Radio Dramatizations books for all 3 Star Wars films & they were pretty good. They had dialogue of scenes that weren't in the movies like how Han went about setting the shelter in Hoth etc.

I walked into a room full of people dressed as teddy bears once. One of them was Sean Connery.

The horror....:csad:

One time I heard Christopher Walken scream at some bears. He was with charlton Heston who really wanted to get them.

Hey, Duke! I'm 30 minutes into OHMSS but I miss Connery! Lazenby really isn't that good. :csad:
