When I was a kid, I saw a black hornet.

that was an overgrown wasp.

But hornet stings are quite painful. I got bit by a brown recluse a couple years ago, that was some crazy **** right there.

Wasps and hornets, very similar, but quite distinct creatures.

Both of them are *******s though. Just sayin.

Aziz did likely see a desert wasp, which are black to a near black metallic blue-green color.

Where'd you get bit at? I was bit by a spider on my nose when I was 15. I was asleep when it happened. Woke up with a red bump. Few days later it was a red bump with a black hole in the middle. Doc said the only thing that saved my nose was that it is mostly cartilage. Apparently necrotizing venom doesn't function nearly as efficiently in cartilage.
