Be a pretty good time to get started on that GL Corps movie, then....

The Purge tv series

It is solid. The sad thing as an american is that if this thing were real, many folks in this country would take part in it. Perhaps not on the big scale like the movies portray the event, but a good amount number.

I got one question...

This event has been pretty good so far and I loved the GL crossover issue. Personally, instead of Wally dying I would've preferred Jon Superman's son it would've been more of a shock and it would make some interesting stories for Superman. Much like how it did for Batman when they killed off Jason

Wait, Heroes in Crisis has a GL crossover issue?

Why is the depiction of Jesus to americans a swiss version?

Why does Mariah Carey be acting crazy, but I still want to motorboat?

How come when all them media claimed Wesley Snipes was locked up, but I saw him at the ONYX club in houston?

Get Ja Rule on the phone!

[Verse 1: Kanye West]

She don't believe in shootin' stars
But she believe in shoes and cars
Wood floors in the new apartment
Couture from the store's department
You more like Love to start things
I'm more of the, trips to Florida
Order the hors d'oeuvres, views of the Water
Straight from the page of your favorite author
And the weather so breezy
Man why can't life always be this easy
She in the mirror dancing so sleazy
I get a call like where are you Yeezy?

Which was the GL crossover?

I have been watching the show (have the last few still on my dvr though) and I like it. Every time I hear the horn blare at the beginning of the episode, it makes me a bit uncomfortable and makes me think an open world/city Purge game would be pretty cool. Just the idea of being outside as the last place you would want to be. You just try to survive the night. It could be a mix of the Purge 2 and Mad Max. Maybe there is even a good/bad system so you can choose to either purge or protect those from being purged.

I also find it interesting how realistic and creepy some of the storylines in the show are, like the office one. There is a reason, after all, that these movies have done well at this point in time. I don't think that's a coincidence.

They recently showed her mom in a flashback and she had darker skin, so I think the half-Cuban thing may be canon again.

This is how I have described Superman. It's not as simple as saying he is Clark who dresses as Superman or is Superman who kicks back as Clark. The truth is closer to the middle.

Yeah, this weird notion that Clark is little more than an expendable disguise for Superman, or even worse, the personification of humanity at its weakest (as was popularized in Tarantino's Kill Bill) never sat well with me. In the past, I'd argue that, as much as Superman is a biological remnant of Krypton, it's to the Kents that he owes his upbringing, his very way of life. King's interpretation takes this a step further, but it also allows for disparate takes on the dual personae of Clark and Superman to coexist. Perhaps that's because he doesn't approach them as purely dichotomous in nature. Rather, he points to a comment element of pretense in both identities. And, while it isn't explicitly stated, I'd infer that—much like Batman—Superman's truest face is likely the one seen by those closest to him.

One of the reasons (among many others) that I love Superman Birthright is that it starts by showing us the essence of who he is. We see Clark as journalist who also uses his abilities. It's similar to the Clark we get in Smallville if that Clark went on a walkabout before moving to Metropolis. This way, we get to see who the character is, so when in public Clark Kent mode or as Superman, we know what the core is and go from there.

That's what I first thought as well, but then I recalled that Selina was described as having been adopted by Brian and Maria Kyle after her biological father Rex Calabrese ditched her. So, who knows?

Yeah, Flick and I were briefly discussing Birthright just the other day. I'm surprised that's yet to be given the adaptation treatment, as it's such a great story. Enough with Death of Superman already!

I need this.

Dude, spoilers!!! :cmad::cmad: :o

But honest, they killed Wally AGAIN??!! I feel like they just brought him back.... :csad:

To me its not somewhere in the middle. Here's why.

He grew up as Clark. Kansas farm boy, a decent man trying to do his best, as he learnt from his parents. When he came to know of his alien parentage, he understood he has the potential to be something greater. But to protect his loved ones, he chose an identity for that. Superman. That's the mask.

Clark/Kal is just who he is. Superman is the public front. The uniform. Why does he need to be clumsy to blend in? He can be just who he is. Hiding in plain sight.

But thats just my favourite interpretation. He can be anything the writer wants/thinks is interesting. The above comic panels are definitely interesting.
