2 days ago, at the entry of my building, a woman was trying to put some sense into a 17 year who keeps coming back to her boyfriend who beats her, the poor child was on some kind of drugs and told the woman that she would "always come back to him".
Just about 1h-45min ago,she was screaming her lungs out while he was assaulting her...the cops still aren't there.

When I see things like this I tend to think that he's just a product of his time and that as history marches on these kind of attitudes will die out. That unfortunately it takes more than a few decades to undo thousands of years of sexism, but generation by generation the war will be won.
But then stories like this re-emphasis that it is a war, and people and being killed by it every day. That we can't simply wait for the problem to be solved, we need to actively try to speed up the process.

It would be kind of funny if next year we got the Snyder cut in the place of JL2

Justice League had the potential to be the biggest franchise WB ever had, instead they completely mismanaged it to the point that it is dead now.

If Fox studios who are going to end their X-men franchise before it's rebooted again By Disney, can give enough time and money to reshoot Dark Phoenix, there was no reason to hurry-up and complete the reshoots of Justice league.

Justice League had the potential to be the biggest franchise WB ever had, instead they completely mismanaged it to the point that it is dead now.

At least with examples like the DCAU, the Injustice series or the Arkham video games, people are fully aware of the potential of the JL and the DCU in outside media. The general audience knows there's nothing wrong with the DC characters, only with the studio that doesn't know how to properly use them.

The one and only Conan The Barbarian movie. Sorry Momoa, but you ain't got nothing on Arnold.

Just when I thought the method acting couldn't get any weirder. Kat Kaif is the only normal one, but she's literally playing herself.
Think I'd rather check out Bollywood's PotC instead.

Have you seen Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan?? The movie is totally out of his wheelhouse and yet it's actually a fantastic movie.

Salman plays a well meaning buffon who helps a little Pakistani girl find her way back to her home. It's a sweet, delightful & touching story. You should give it a try.

Have you seen Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan?? The movie is totally out of his wheelhouse and yet it's actually a fantastic movie.

Salman plays a well meaning buffon who helps a little Pakistani girl find her way back to her home. It's a sweet, delightful & touching story. You should give it a try.

Oh, I've definitely seen that one and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was really good as well.

I'm rewatching LotR this week, extended ones, obviously - that adorable scene with him eating stew! - and they hold up amazingly. The only dodgy CGI is in the background at times but that's it. Helm's Deep is still the greatest battle scene of all time and Gandalf and the riders saving the day is the most epic scene I've ever seen. I'm watching extended RotK today and that's 4h long without end credits

So even though i said I wouldnt I signed up for DC Universe. Lol

I'm two episodes into Titans and its not half bad. I dig it. It a little rough around some edges but theres good seeds here which could sprout to something great. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be raving about Hawk and Dove but the actors that played them really brought some life into the show, hope to see more of them. I think this show has the potential to really take off once its growing pains are out of the way and the team assembles.

Tsuji wanted to redo his basement in mock Tudor style and needed his cheque early. There's always a good reason for these things.

I just started a rewatch last night. I've seen these a couple of hundred times I think. I much prefer the EEs.

Don't worry about that. It's so awesome it guarantees the $5+ billion for MCU alone this year, so it will obviously get its long awaited sequel.
