I have this book. There's a page where a mind controlled or angry Superman goes to hit Spider-Man. Superman breaks free of the mind control at the last second, stopping his punch inches short of hitting Spidey, yet the force still knocked Spider-Man back and almost unconscious. This was Silver Age/Bronze Age type Superman.

This was Silver Age/Bronze Age type Superman.

This is from the team-up of Lex Luthor and Doctor Octopus, nobody was brainwashed in that story. Spider-Man was angry at Supes for a reason I do not remember, and was temporarily powered up by Lex to match brawn with Superman.

Superman held back from connecting his fist, and the webhead flew (pushed back) away for a while.


I did not read the one with Doctor Doom and Parasite, the cover MbJ posted.
