The hilarious thing was after the years of hype, they were seemingly surprised people were meh on the characters they chose to reveal. You mean the now 6-year-old movie team plus Ant-Man (not even the Ant-Man people care about) isn't getting people super hype? Shocker.

They did repeatedly say this isn't adapting the MCU. Wished they fully committed that in the trailer.

Guess they're doing the original 1963 team + Black Widow in a modern setting? Though if Cap apparently "dies" early on, that likely means there would be new members right from the get-go. They couldn't show us those additional members in the teaser trailer, it made sense to show the original roster first. And I never got the idea it could be adapting the MCU, given that Hawkeye isn't there and Pym is young, that pretty much confirmed it was its own thing.

For me I just thought Avengers would take place in the same world as the PS4 Spider-Man game.

they should've used like cell-shaded graphics like they done for mvc3.
or better yet, model it after the jack kirby artwork!

I could still remember playing the Superman Returns and Batman Begins games on PS2. Good stuff for the time period. About damn time Superman gets a fair updated treatment.

Touche. Batman and Spider-Man have limited territory to cover that's why they work so well for their world, unlike say Thor or Superman who are way more powerful and are much more adventurous IMO.
