That's a cool scene.

If this should count as a Christmas movie, did it come out too late, or way too early?
You mean if it was meant to be released with Aquaman or meant to be released this Christmas? Don't think either case would have made a difference to it's bo

I just watched Toy Story 3 for the first time since 2010 and the movie absolutely wrecked me. One of three movies that can make me ugly cry.

Goyer... Poor Morpheus.

I had no intention of asking for its box office benefit, just the time setting of the story.

One of them is a very good writer, the other is a comic book fan.

At least Gaiman can guide him to make his writing better for this.

At least Heinberg will be running the show, so there may yet be hope, in spite of Goyer’s involvement.

Some things are better off never being adapted, I think Sandman is one of them.

So the new Shaft movie is on Netflix; I thought it was meant to be a theatrical release instead?? Either way, no interest in watching it, I was just curious...

Apparently it was released theatrically in the U.S but internationally on Netflix.

So I guess the movie came and went without much ado... alright, thanks for the info!

It's a new distribution tactic from WB for their comedies that has limited OS appeal. They employed the same method, i.e a North American theatrical release followed by a Netflix OS roll-out after 2 weeks to Isn't It Romantic as well.

It saves a lot of money spent towards marketing and promotion in countries where American humor doesn't translate well (non English speaking countries).

I didn't realize it already came out in America. It came and went. It's not playing at my theater.

The Hitman's Bodyguard did that too.

The Hitman's Bodyguard was a Japan exclusive thing.

It released on Netflix Japan (went straight to DVD??) one week after it's North American release.

The movie had a sub-par OW and followed it up with a big sophomore frame drop so it's losing screens at a rapid rate (it lost 69% of it's screens in the recently concluded weekend) nao that the contractual obligations are over. The new one might not even make it to the OW of the previous one from 2000.

So, "The Batman" is now in Preproduction phase
