Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Rereading THR's article again there's this tidbit I missed:

This seriously reads like WB is taking Keaton from the Burtonverse and putting him in the DCEU and thus allowing him to be a Nick Fury type. Keaton replacing Batfleck sounds like a real possibility

Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to refer to the possibility of material "substitution" between characters; it appears it might be alluding to the chance of inter-dimensional comunication/travel, but not to some kind of "ret-con": apertis verbis, according to this article, even if Keaton's Batman were brought --- remaining the same character, in a different "Earth" --- in the "DCEU", Affleck's Wayne might still continue to exist inside the same world.

I don't believe it be so. Keaton's likely to be one of the alternate universe Batmans while Affleck's/Snyder's Batman still exist in Snyder's DCEU. It's just that IMO Affleck's role in future apart from Snyder's JL is in flux.

A little off-topic with all the multi-universe talks -- you'all should start watching 'Fringe' TV series. The first season may be a little sluggish but from the season one finale onward it's one of top Sci-Fi series with excellent characters writing IMHO. Best depiction of fictional prime and alternate universes and one of the best fictional characters, Walter Bishop.

The Keaton stuff seemingly came out of nowhere. Crazy to think what other news might emerge going into FanDome.

There are a million "scoopers" out there and none of them even teased this. None of the vague tweets, suggestive gifs, or anything. Hoping for something else big, preferably Superman related, by the day of FanDome.

The talks about Snyder's JL being maybe a 6 part TV-series made me think about the lack of great characters in comic-book TV series. The few really good comic-based TV characters I could name included -
Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis, Lucifer), Constantine (Matt Ryan, Constantine), Daredevil (Charlie Cox, Daredevil), Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor, Gotham), Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith, Gotham), Homelander (Antony Starr, The Boys), and Hulk (Bill Bixby, The Incredible Hulk). I hope that HBOmax stuffs will result in a comic-based TV series with high production value but also importantly great characters.

Best sci-fi TV characters ever decipted in my view:
G'Kar -- Andreas Katsulas, Babylon 5.
Londo Mollari --Peter Jurasik, Babylon 5.
Walter Bishop -- John Noble, Fringe.
Quark --Armin Shimerman, Star Trek: DS9
Spock -- Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek.
William Adama -- Edward James Olmos, Battlestar Galactica.
Dana Scully & Fox Mulder --Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny, The X-Files.
Data -- Brent Spiner, Star Trek: TNG
Delenn --Mira Furlan, Babylon 5.

The only thing Superman related (excluding the Snyder Cut) that's coming to FanDOME (that's known) is Superman and Lois. Look, I get Hoechlin is good in the role and the CW has its fans, but if that's the only thing exclusive to anything Superman related at Fandome, the disappointment would put me in a bad mood and I may break something lol. I mean, all this epic stuff fans can hang their hat on cinematically to the future. Black Adam. Shazam! WW84. Battison. Ssquad. Possibly more Momoa. Flashpoint. All of that and to not have Supes?

Be careful, WB! Super fans are ready to snap.

Off-topic :Live Action Comic Book Movies Versus Animated Comic Book Movies? What’s Your preference?

Do you guys prefer live-action comic book movies or animated ones? I love animation, and think it’s great. What’s your preference?
When it’s executed to perfection live action is hard to beat, but I have an easier time enjoying animation even when it’s not done well. I love them both though and want as much quality stuff on both fronts as possible.

This might imply the compresence of 4 Bat-men:

1) Keaton, as a "mentor" figure operating on "Earth-89";

2) Affleck, or his recasting, on "Prime Earth”: about that, I'd invite you --- allow me some form of worth-less pareidolia --- to look at the profile-image of the "Youtube" account of "HBO Max": standing at the center of this slate of characters are Gadot’s WW, Morpheus, Deanerys Targaryen, "West-world"'s Maeve, Newt Scamander & Affleck's Batman;

3) Pattinson, in a sort of "Black Label" trilogy;

4) JDM, as "Flash-point" Batman, in his --- own --- universe.
Haha, that should be just about enough Bat-men for now.

And, we're getting 3 Jokers, Letoker, Joaqker and Matt Reeves' Joker.

While it's Great that we are getting Zack Snyder's Justice League and Matt Reeves' The Batman and Flash (point) movie with Michael Keaton, we're getting Wonder Woman 1984 this year too, some new pics...

Gal is just on another level. She really is. Zack is a casting CHAMPION.

I hope so too.

This is a great time for DC fans. WB is going full steam ahead with a multiverse. There are a ton of exciting possibilities. But Hoechlin's CW show is not enough, especially with what is being set-up on the big screen. Hopefully they're working out that part of the equation behind the scenes or have it figured out already. It'd be great to have some clarity on Superman's cinematic future by the end of Fandome.

I would hope so too, but it might not come in the form of movie news. Think everyone will walk away from the fandome being happy about something though.

A lot of American Alien vibes! I know Landis is a creep and it's hard to support a ****ty human being, but his American Alien stood out and is one of my modern favorites. The creativity was on par in that one!

Also, that art-style is amazing. Gorgeous designs but clear and focused, the colors pop and they aren't drowning the hand-drawn animation with overlayed digital effects. This is probably the best the animated Superman has looked since Superman - The Animated Series. Seriously, if the budget were a bit higher to allow for little more fluid animation (it's noticeably limited, though they've adapted well to their limits), I'd think this is a theatrical production.

I didn’t care much for American Alien, but this looks different enough that I’m not too worried about it being too direct an adaptation of that. Hopefully they just cherry picked the good bits.

I don't think Lobo should be in any film that isn't R-rated.
