Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Merica’

Where cops can break into your house and kill you, but only be charged for the bullets that missed the victim.

If a similar outcome happens with George Floyd’s case, it will fuel the flames in this country even more so, twice as much so if this idiot is still in power.

After watching The Vow I can't help but feel bad for Allison.
I was feeling similarly after the first few episodes, but less so now. I had to be reminded that victims can also be manipulative abusers, which is absolutely what she became, imo. She did a lot of damage to a lot of people.

Quentin Tarantino walks onstage to reveal his plan for his 10 next films behind him on the screen.

I am very glad I don't live in the US. Sure the police here are institutional racist too, but they don't have guns.

cops in Japan have guns but i can not remember when was the last time cops shot anybody let alone innocent people.

I agree but I see it this way she was brainwashed like all the other women. And I feel sad for her because you can see she was just looking for something to belong to and he took all of that and twisted it into something horrible making her think she was doing good by serving him. And now as this is going on you start to understand her drastic weight loss you see in Smallville and also why she left the show. I understand she did some messed up things and hurt a lot of women but in the same I feel bad because she was brainwashed as were many of the women in that group.

the no knock warrant is bs.

you barge into the middle of the night into someone's home, what you expect them to do?
the occupants are going to defend themselves.

and if the home was really being used as a place to deal drugs, still, the way the police went about it only escalated things.

Lounge of Justice Music Edition: One of my best friends and I always share songs and playlists. She loved this contribution to our growing playlist so thought I’d share here as well. I was driving a U-Haul up north Texas and randomly heard this song. Had to look it up. It’s powerful to me for several reasons with regard to saying goodbye to loved ones. Might strike something in you too! Feel like chillin to some good music? Ok enjoy

Couldn't let this go unacknowledged. Woof, that hit me in the feels. Thanks for sharing this.

Just finished my rewatch of David Simon's 'The Wire'. Still the greatest TV series I have seen. Still the #1 series for me. It's noteworthy that the series were made mainly by people outside of the usual Hollywood / Television background like stage people & playwrights.

Well you should try to finish the series! It's only about 10 - 13 episodes per season, 60 episodes in total.

My favourite was always Omar Devon Little. lol

Favorite guest / recurring characters - Clayton 'Clay' Davis & Brother Mouzonem.

I feel it drags things out too much, lost interest after series four.
The mayoral storyline has been boring since it started, cannae be doing with the CIA agent from TDKR, there are some good actors in this, he isn't one of them.

Bill Burr Podcast

The Sleep Sex Saga (19 min) version on YT.

Brehs, I had to roll down my window and spit out my coffee from laughter this morning. I hadn't listened to this segment from his early days on the podcast before. Hearing Bill trying to make a sense out of this listener's email had me laughing so damn much. I can't link it for obvious reasons but goddamn.

Bill Burr is the absolute best and my favorite comedian. That dude has made my stomach knot up from laughter.

Well this us uh, random but cool nonetheless:

Cameo is a service where buyers pay celebs to respond or recite words back to them.

It's cool for small greetings and stuff, but this is lame as hell. Cedric got too much money to be doing this. :funny:
