Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Jeez, seeing Routh back in the Superman role definitely brought back a lot of memories for me. I still remember the first time that I went to the theater to watch "Superman Returns" in 2006 (a month after I had graduated high school).

On one hand, it was GREAT to see him again. However, it felt so bittersweet at the same time. Why? Because this is just for the Crisis crossover.

I would honestly be on cloud nine, even if the show was being produced by the Arrowverse, to see Brandon star in his own Superman show instead.

It's also funny both fans and the show has pretty much shown that people are more smitten by Brandon's portrayal of the role than Tyler's.
:awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome: :awesome:

Earth One and Earth Two's Supermen together is just like one of those Bronze Age comics. I love this.

The whole crisis has been bad and poorly written and has made Tyler's Superman look worse and worse as time passes.
Well, I think it's because the CW writers love to crap all over Superman....for whatever reason?

My point is if you're going to give this guy his own series or are thinking about it then you need to take every chance you get to win Superman fans over with this guy. We don't want a team Superman, we don't want to see him written poorly and the expense of Supergirl. This is a Superman who has been around 12+ year they need to be showing him as a strong leader and someone all the heroes look up too and take their lead from. In the comics they did that, Snyder was working up to that, TAS had him as that, even SV did this. However this show has not done a great job at this in fact they have gone out of their way to make Supergirl this type of hero than Superman.

It's funny how Hoechlin looked like a regular dude standing next to Routh and even Welling. I like his Superman but he seems to be kind of a weird choice for the role while standing next to those guys.

to be fair Routh as an older Superman looks great but when he opens his mouth he still sounds like Ray Palmer, I want his voice to be a bit deeper and authoritive lol

Also this Batman is the one that took credit from Batwoman for the costume design right?

Just watched Kevin Conroys part on Crisis

Wow. I had planned on watching each Crisis episode since I haven't followed any CW shows in years and I'm glad I didn't. They took Conroy, the dude most people think of as the definitive Batman and turned him into an *******? Could've gone anyway with old Bruce here, especially the Batman Beyond way. Instead, dudes around for 3 minutes and gets electrocuted to death. cool.

Awww man. Is it that bad? I’m waiting until tomorrow to watch all three parts but i was hoping they’d stick the landing. I mean...its the CW so i expected not so great writing just hoping it’d be a lot of fun.

I might be exaggerating, but they turned Earth-38 Supes into an absolute effing wuss. It's kinda mind blowing to me really if they plan on this iteration to have his own show.

This is Superman, yet if Lois and Kara weren't there, would there be any character interaction with him and anyone else? Like would anyone be talking to him or vice versa? He's just sort of there. But it's as much the writing and directing as the actor, imo.

Like I don't want to go too far, but it's like they're doing everything they can to kick down Earth-38 Supes, with needing a pep talk from his cousin, Kara taking his symbol of hope title, being inferior in power levels to her, getting
cucked
by both other versions of Superman. Like Jesus, it was almost hard to watch what they're doing to him.

I said this two seasons ago and the last crossover.

Thats disappointing because I like Hoechlin in the role. He’s not Cavill but theres a charm to him thats endearing to me.

That said, i kinda expected Routh to overshadow him in this crossover. But who knows, guys, after tonight, this thing still has two more parts in January where maybe they make him shine.

Everyone overshadows him and the people who complain about Cavill's Superman but love this one have no room to judge Cavill's Superman anymore. This Superman doubts himself more than Cavill's ever has and this one is a 12+ year vet. Cavill's Superman was still trying to find his way and was only Superman for a year and a half yet people expected him to be like Reeve's Superman off the back. So what's this guys excuse.

Yes, sad to say that the cw crossover has just been meh at best

just counting down the days till the batman at this point
