Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Poor guy is gonna be dealing with unhinged maniac fans for the rest of his days. The next decade will be filled with:

“he’s the perfect age for a dark knight returns true adaptation! AT&T DiscoveryWarnerDisney+ needs to #RESTORE!!”

And everything after that will be: “he can be old Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond movie! AppleAmazonDisneyMusk++ has no choice but to #RESTORE!!”

I wouldn't mind watching an animated series of this:

These SW shows on Disney+ are just killing it. Now THAT'S podracing.

You couldn't pay me to watch the Di$ney War$ or the spinoffs...I have no interest in Fat Boba Fett or any of the other storylines.

They’re finally starting to cater to prequel fans (we are a fiercely loyal bunch) so I’ve been taking a look here and there at what they’re doing…. And yeah, that latest episode of boba fett is the best Star Wars content I’ve watched since 2005

It's just one of those things you gotta accept about the movie. It doesn't really make sense, but is it enough to break you outta the plot? Maybe so, maybe not. I was good with it, but I fully admit I go into these sorta flicks always expecting that level of suspension of disbelief.

I love No Way Home intensely, but there is a lot about that movie that doesn't really make sense. But I enjoy enough of what's happening around those gaps in logic that it's fine in the end.

When you love a movie its easy to over look the flaws, errors and plot holes. but when that love isnt there. all those things will be screaming in your face. which is the issue i think a lot of fans have with ZS DC films.

It can also matter how far away from your first viewing you are or how old you were when you first saw it.

i'm enjoying the disney plus star war shows. a lot.

this is how you expand the world after the OT.
these shows are the sw sequels we deserve.

also, when watching mando and now boba fett..it just makes me more angry at kennedy and abrams with what they did with the sequel trilogy.

why....WHY? why did you have to end things that way??

i don't think i've ever been more pissed off at how a franchise was handled than i was at with what's happened with star wars.
i grew up watching the OT with my family...so i have a strong sense of nostalgia with it.

watching mando and boba fett is therapy.

hell, after watching rise of skywalker...i went to watch the prequel trilogy as therapy.
as flawed as the prequels were, they are f***ing masterpieces compared to episode 7-9.

and i feel bad for the actors...esp daisy ridley and john boyega.
they acted really well in their parts, but were given weak material.
and their story arcs short-changed. esp boyega's. DAMMIT.

sorry but i needed to rant and unload all this.

watching these new sw shows and seeing all your responses on here have brought up all these feelings i've had bubbling up to the surface.

MOTHERF***********!!!!!

And see for me Star Wars was great because it was scarce. Di$ney putting out a bunch of content every year basically made it into Star Trek...which does it better.

Current Star Wars >>> Current Trek imo. Though I am still looking forward to Strange New Worlds a great deal.

Dave Filoni is pretty much the best thing to happen to Star Wars as far as I’m concerned.

should've given filoni and favreau the keys to the star wars sequel movies.

should have never let abrams and rian put their hands on it!

I’m one of those weirdos who actually liked Rian’s movie the most, but I feel you lol.

ur not alone, i actually liked rian's movie out of all 3 in the sequel trilogy.
at the same time, i didn't like lot of his decisions.
but at least he tried to do something different instead of rehashing plotlines.

but that whole trilogy was just a mess and ill conceived.

should've been filoni / favreau to helm these.
god's chosen ones.

Nightmare Alley

A rewatch now that it landed on hbo/max.

This is GDT best flick since Pan's Labyrinth. I wasn't that high on The Shape of Water' to begin with, but Del Toro did his best Hitch/Pressburger-Powell here. Also, that blonde that is now his wife and co-writer, she knows her goddamn stuff.

i enjoyed the last jedi but i understand why people dont like it. it should have been done as the last movie. if Luke had died in the last movie and the baton was passed then, it may have been better received. the movie did have a lot of silly things like the casino but it wasnt done interesting enough, and the Asian lady, kudos to her she played her part well but the character just didn't do even for more people to latch on.

One thing to consider (though I would be really surprised if they went this route) is that Rebels did explore alternate realities. It does leave the door open.

Completely heartbroken to read about the passing of Monica Vitti.

When one first takes the journey into classic foreign flicks, she is one of the first dames that one meets along the way. Hauntingly beautiful.

A shot of hibiki and a fresh cuban in your honor, dolce bella.

I like Discovery and Picard personally...and will take them over every Star Wars film that has come out since Revenge of the Sith.
